Marin,Zhang Tailei And The Chinese Revolution(1921-1924)

Under the guidance of Lenin’s theory on ethnic and colonial issues,the Communist International formulated the policy of the proletariat of eastern countries to unite all revolutionary forces in carrying out the national liberation movement against imperialism,which had far-reaching effects on the Communist Party of China and the Chinese revolution.Both Marin and Zhang Tailei have made important contributions in accepting and implementing the policy of communist international government.Marin,a representative of the Communist International,has rich experience in colonial struggle,participated in the discussion of the two major issues of ethnic and colonial revolution in the Communist International,and first came to China in June1921 to help the early organization of the Communist Party of China to convene a major Communist Party of China,which helped to promote the establishment of the Communist Party of China.Zhang Tailei,a member of the early communist organization of the Communist Party of China,went to Irkutsk in January 1921 to serve as the Secretary of the China branch of the Communist International Far East Secretariat,and then attended the Communist International Conference in Moscow in June and July,presenting the "Three Written Reports of the Communist Party of China to the Communist International" and giving a brief speech at the Congress,defending the Communist Party of China’s position as the only Chinese branch in the Communist International.Marin and Zhang Tailei,respectively,were in the same foreign country at the same time,making a unique contribution to the founding of the Communist Party of China.From June 1921 to August 1923,Marin came to China three times before and after,all of whom had close working relations with his translator and assistant Zhang Tailei.This also gives Zhang Tailei various historical opportunities to participate in and witness the important political activities of this period.In December 1921,with the assistance of Zhang Tailei,Marin went to Guilin to meet with Sun Yat-sen,and then gradually formed the idea of supporting Sun Yat-sen and the communist Party of China in their cooperation within the Party.The latter is also known by Western scholars as the Snapchat strategy.With Marin’s continuous efforts,his idea of intra-party cooperation was supported by the Communist International Executive Committee and translated into a "directive" to the Communist Party of China.After the West Lake Conference and the three major discussions of the Cpc,the leaders of the Communist Party of China decided to accept the instructions of the Communist International and established a major decision to cooperate with the Kuomintang in the Party,thus opening up the great revolution,creating a new situation of China’s national democratic revolution and accelerating the historical process of the Chinese revolution.In the process,Zhang Tailei has always supported Marin and become a close comrade-in-arms.
