Police trust is an old topic.Police trust is very important to improve the relationship between the police and the people.Trust is the cornerstone of harmonious police people relationship.However,with the continuous development of the Internet and the advent of the era of we media,a new situation has emerged in police trust.The development of we media has brought many opportunities for the improvement of police trust,but also brought new challenges to police trust.The development of we media policing platform has further narrowed the distance between the police and the people,widened the channels of communication between the police and the people,made it more convenient for the police to release Policing Information and made the people receive policing information more quickly.However,at the same time,the development of we media also makes all kinds of criminal events,false news and slander against the police spread more rapidly,and the difficulty of public opinion control is also increasing.People have to wonder whether these phenomena will weaken people’s trust in the police and bring challenges to the development of police people relations.Therefore,based on the current situation of the development of we media in China,this paper explores the impact of we media on police trust,and puts forward some measures to improve police trust and optimize the relationship between the police and the people.The first part of this paper introduces the concept of we media.It is wide application,increasing influence,rapid dissemination,strong immediacy and sharing,rich and diverse forms of expression,low threshold,lack of supervision and so on.The second part of this paper explains the connotation of police trust and summarizes the influencing factors of police Trust:(1)community policing efficiency and the way police treat the public;(2)Procedural justice and distributive justice;(3)Police scandals and corruption;(4)Public perception of safety and crime;(5)The demographic characteristics of the public itself.According to the above analysis of the influencing factors of police trust and the analysis of the development status and characteristics of we media,the following assumptions are put forward: the disclosure of police information of we media affects police trust;The interaction between the police and the public on the we media platform affects the police trust;The spread of criminal incidents in we media has a negative impact on police trust;The dissemination of disparaging remarks has a negative impact on police trust;Improper statements on the official account of the police have a negative impact on the trust of the police.A questionnaire with 26 questions is designed to test the above hypothesis.Through the analysis of the data obtained from the questionnaire,this paper summarizes the impact of we media on police trust.We media has positive and negative effects on police trust.The positive effects are: making the disclosure of official information more convenient and timely;Increased communication channels between the police and the public;Enable the police to enhance their interaction with the public;Innovating the publicity mode of public security;Increased police effectiveness;Innovative dispute resolution methods have been created to enable the police to efficiently solve the problems of the masses.The negative effects include:increasing the transmission channels of criminal events and causing public anxiety;The wide spread of false information will cause people’s misunderstanding of the police;The spread of non-standard law enforcement procedures will cause doubts about the professionalism of the police;Improper speech will damage the official image of the police account;Insufficient interaction between official accounts and the public will cause public dissatisfaction;If the case handling procedure is not transparent enough,it will aggravate people’s mistrust.。。。。。。。。。。。。。。。。。。。。。。。。。。The third part of this paper is based on the analysis of the survey results and influencing factors,and puts forward the measures that the police should take to enhance police trust in the era of we media.The author believes that the police should(1)improve the professionalism of police law enforcement;(2)Strengthen the control of we media;(3)Strengthen the construction of police official self media and enhance the interaction with the people;(4)Increase the openness of procedural information in handling cases and make law enforcement transparent.。...
