A Study On Ways To Improve Citizens’ Awareness Of Political Participation From The Perspective Of The Whole Process Of People’s Democracy

Since the 18 th National Congress of the CPC,the whole process of people’s democracy was proposed by General Secretary Xi Jinping.In the process of promoting socialist modernization,we should improve the system of institutions for the people to be masters of the country,give full play to the important role of socialist consultative democracy,diversify the forms of democracy,unimpeded the channels for democracy,expand the people’s orderly participation in political affairs at all levels and in all fields,and promote historic achievements in the whole process of people’s democracy.It has become a landmark achievement of great innovation in the field of democratic politics in the new era,and has greatly enhanced the confidence and confidence of the whole party and people of all ethnic groups in building Socialist Democracy with Chinese characteristics.With the proposal of the entire process of people’s democracy,the enthusiasm for political participation of the people has never been higher,but at the same time,it has also revealed that there are some problems in their political participation consciousness.Therefore,how to enhance citizens’ political participation consciousness and promote the development of the entire process of people’s democracy remains a great challenge for China,which is in the early stage of socialism.This article is based on Marxist ideological theory and Marxist theory of people’s autonomy,linking political participation consciousness with the entire process of people’s democracy,linking citizens’ political participation with the development of democracy.At the same time,a questionnaire survey was conducted on citizens in F community of D city,and it was found that there is insufficient awareness of political participation,unclear identification of content,insufficient emotions for political participation,insufficient practice of activities,and diverse motives for political participation,This article analyzes the problems of low political participation consciousness,negative attitude towards political participation,and low participation enthusiasm.Starting from the entire process of people’s democracy,four countermeasures are proposed to solve the above problems: strengthen institutional guarantees,improve citizens’ awareness of political participation,develop consultative democracy,enhance citizens’ feelings of political participation,strengthen grassroots democracy,guide citizens’ motivation for political participation,consolidate the united front,and enhance citizens’ attitude toward political participation.This study hopes to provide new ideas for the practice of the whole process of people’s democracy,and at the same time provide a new research direction for the consciousness of political participation,and make a modest contribution to the research in the field of political science.
