| Marx and Engels struggled throughout their lives for the revolutionary liberation of the proletariat. The Communist Manifesto systematically expounds on the prerequisites, main body, principles and paths of the proletarian revolution by critiquing the historic capitalism in the 19 th century world. This series of arguments not only deepened Marx’s theory of the proletarian revolution but also provided scientific theoretical guidance for the cause of the proletariat’s liberation. The logical presentation of the proletarian revolutionary ideas in The Communist Manifesto in this article is as follows: The first part mainly expounds on the socialand historical background of the proletarian revolutionary ideas in The Communist Manifesto. After the "dual revolution" in England and France, the contradictions in capitalist society gradually became apparent, and the worker movement against the capitalist system had various levels. The article then examines the development process of Marx and Engels thinking in two stages before the formation of the proletarian revolutionary ideas in the Manifesto. In the budding period of revolutionary ideas,Marx began to criticize Hegelian jurisprudence when he faced the dilemma of materialinterests, and ultimately placed the path of solving the split between the state and civil society in the field of civil society.During the period of1844-1848,Marx was inspired by Engels’ article "Out line of the Critique of National Economy",and they began to cooperate on the path of political economy criticism, gaining insight into the relationship between the inherent and private property system of man’s domination over man’s power, and gradually forming their own grasp of relevant concepts such as bourgeoisie and bourgeois social contradiction. At this point Marx and Engels completed the preparatory work of the relevant concepts in the early stages of the proletarian revolutionary thought of the Manifesto. The second part outlines the main content of the proletarian revolutionary ideas in the Manifesto and is the core part of the thesis. It is mainly discussed in the following four aspects.First, the origin, characteristics and crisis of bourgeois society are described from the historical critique of capitalism in the first half of the first chapter of The Communist Manifesto. In the Manifesto we see that the capitalist crisis it presents us with a binary picture, either the capitalist crisis is replicated again or the working class is organized in the context of the crisis as a real force for change in bourgeois society.Secondly, from the workers in capitalist society who are thrown out of the production system,it discusses how the working class rises through a triple struggle to become the main body of the proletarian revolution and the important ideological leadership of the communists in the workers’ struggle.Once again, following the working class as the subject of revolution, the principle of the proletarian revolution, the abolition of private ownership,is described. This section is where Marx and Engels set out their principles by way of refutation of the bourgeoisologists’ claim that private property is a guarantee of freedom in the three spheres of civil society, the family and the state. Finally, the path of the proletarian revolution is discussed. The proletariat first brings about a new class rule by political revolution, and then a social revolution completes the total transformation of society.Since the Manifesto is a historical document, the preamble of the Manifesto complements the proletarian revolutionary ideas in the main text.In the preamble Marx and Engels indicate the development trend and new features of capitalism,as well as how the specific path of proletarian revolution unfolds in each country against the historical background of the changing revolutionary situation. After the exposition,The Manifesto gives enough openness to the path of the proletarian revolution. The third part discusses the contemporary value of the proletarian revoluti onary ideas in the Manifesto.Through the Manifesto’s analysis of capitalist soc iety and the discussion of proletarian revolution,we can still see that the contr adictions of capitalist society remain unchanged after three transformations. In th is paper,by the analysis of the current situation of capitalism under each capi talist period and their discussion of The Communist Manifesto’s proletarian rev olution,we can see that the proletarian revolution is still viable in contemporar y times. And for the value of contemporary China,on the one hand the idea of the proletarian revolution of the Manifesto provides the theoretical basis forthe great struggle. On the other hand this paper concludes that the proletarian revolutionary ideas of the Manifesto can enable us to theoretically grasp the si gnificance of the practice of socialism with Chinese characteristics beyond capit alism,by looking at the three levels of Chinese socialist democracy, economic system and foreign relations. |
