Evaluation Of Urban Development Based On The Notion Of Inclusive City

The report of the 19 th National Congress of the Communist Party of China clearly pointed out that the main contradiction in my country’s society in the new era is the contradiction between the people’s growing needs for a better life and unbalanced and insufficient development.The fundamental goal of an inclusive city is to promote the sharing of urban development results,which is highly consistent with resolving this contradiction.However,what is an inclusive city,how is the development of inclusive cities in my country,and how to develop inclusive cities in the future are still important contents to be studied.Inclusive city is a new concept of urban development,and it is also the continuation and innovation of traditional urban development.This paper uses the literature analysis method,qualitative and quantitative analysis method,on the basis of clarifying the research background and significance,relevant literature review,research method and technical route,starting from the theory of inclusive development,and combining the nature of the city and development requirements to define inclusiveness Cities,build the core framework for inclusive urban development.And by drawing on the comprehensive measurement system of inclusive cities constructed by domestic and foreign institutions and scholars,using the multi-indicator measurement method and the entropy method and the weighting method combining subjective and objective opinions from consulting experts,a comprehensive evaluation index system for inclusive urban development is constructed.The development level of my country’s mega and mega cities under the concept of inclusive cities.Combined with the actual analysis and evaluation results,it reveals the common problems in the development of inclusive cities in my country and the differences between the development of different types of cities.The comprehensive evaluation results of inclusive urban development show that the development of inclusive cities in my country mainly has the common problems of insufficient social cohesion,political participation in inclusive development,uncoordinated development content,and large gap in living standards between urban and rural residents.In addition,it is pointed out that the main factors hindering the development of inclusive cities in first-tier cities,new first-tier cities,and second-tier cities are the difficulty of settlement,high housing prices,and exclusion of cultural environment;weak public service supply capacity;and low quality of economic development.Accordingly,this study proposes to develop social forces to promote social cohesion;to transform urban governance models to promote political participation and inclusion;to focus on coordinated development and to promote overall inclusive urban development;In order to help the development of inclusive cities in my country.
