Research On The Protection Of Workers’ Rights And Interests In Chengdu Express Industry

From 1970s,China began to develop the express delivery industry.In the process of development for many years,the express delivery industry has been showing a relatively rapid development state.According to relevant statistics,the number of people engaged in the express delivery industry in China has exceeded 3 million.The development of the express delivery industry has made great contributions to the national economy,but there are also many problems in the development of the express delivery industry,especially the regulatory role of the government is not in place.Under the background of the current platform economy,the express delivery industry bears important social functions,but couriers are faced with various social problems in their daily life and work.There are more and more reports about unfair treatment of couriers in China,and more and more attention has been paid to doing a good job in hierarchical management of courier business,strengthening social understanding of courier industry and improving the social security system for courier protection.The protection of labor rights and interests of express delivery employees,especially the role of government supervision,has also become one of the focus issues of current society.Based on the actual situation of the development of express delivery industry in Chengdu,thesis analyzes the current situation of the protection of workers’ rights and interests,analyzes the problems and their causes from the perspective of government supervision and collaborative governance,and forms corresponding improvement countermeasures.Thesis combs the domestic and foreign literatures about the protection of labor rights and interests,and draws lessons from the research ideas and achievements;Thesis introduces the concepts of labor rights protection and abnormal labor relations,and makes a comprehensive analysis of collaborative governance theory and government supervision theory,which lays a theoretical foundation for the writing of thesis.Through questionnaires and interviews,thesis analyzes the present situation and existing problems of the protection of workers’ rights and interests in Chengdu express delivery industry,including the lag of social supervision,the lack of enterprise entities,the lack of cooperative supervision of associations,the lag of social services and the weak awareness of workers’ participation in insurance.Based on the experience of protecting workers’ rights and interests at home and abroad,from the perspective of government supervision,thesis puts forward some countermeasures to protect workers’ rights and interests:speeding up social supervision,standardizing enterprise employment,giving play to multi-organization collaborative supervision,improving the service system for thirdparty workers’ rights and interests,and strengthening education and training.The research of thesis has certain reference significance for the protection of workers’ rights and interests in the whole express delivery industry and other industries in the future.
