An Analysis Of Badiou’s Communist Thought

Alain Badiou is a representative left-wing scholar in contemporary France,and his communist ideas have caused repercussions in the world.The Communist flag was reraised in the West,and a new way of thinking about the main principles of communism was opened up,as well as the way for a new political order.Badiou’s thought of Communism has its special development course and special significance of The Times.He has lived through the Maystorm in France,the Maoism of the revolution and the communist slump,and has reflected deeply on his predicament.Under the premise of mathematical ontology,Badiou regarded the ternary structure of event,truth and subject as the ideal of pursuing pure justice.Secondly,Badiou divides the history of communism into two periods,and takes these two periods as the starting point to investigate the historical evolution of communist thought through the investigation of the historical evolution of communism in these two periods.Therefore,Badiou reconstructs communism from the perspective of realistic revolutionary movement and regards communism as a real political revolutionary movement.Badiou’s expansion,emphasis,and pursuit of communism have found a practical way to seek the true freedom of human beings,and also put forward new views and perspectives for people’s understanding of communism.But Mr Badiou’s separation of revolution from communism makes his theory utopian and limited.
