| The Chinese Communist Party has always attached importance to the development of labor education,the Party Central Committee,with Comrade Mao Zedong at its core,established the educational policy of combining education with productive labor,aiming to cultivate educated laborers with socialist consciousness.Since the reform and opening up,especially in the new era,in order to cultivate socialist builders and successors with all-round development of moral,intellectual,physical,social and aesthetic skills,labor education under the leadership of the Party has been deeply connected with quality education.While the times are changing,the meaning of labor remains the same,and it is never out of fashion to create the future.The world today is undergoing profound changes unseen in a century,mankind is experiencing multiple crises rarely seen in history,globalization in the world,and the COVID-19 epidemic is still prevalent,creating new requirements for the skills and knowledge of workers in all countries.Domestic education in the modernization of 2035 and the journey of the second one hundred goals,there are still some incorrect concepts of labor,poor sense of labor experience,and disharmony in labor relations,especially physical labor is despised,these have posed new challenges to labor and labor education,and have attracted the great attention of Party and State leaders.During the Yan’an period,an important reason why the revolutionary forces led by the Chinese Communist Party became strong and the revolutionary cause continued to grow was that the Communists,represented by Comrade Mao Zedong,carried out the practice of labor education with manual and productive labor as the main focus and the participation of all members of the Party,the government,the military,the civil and the academia,this practice has promoted the spirit of self-reliance and hard work in the whole society,provided the material guarantee and mass foundation for the ultimate victory of the revolution,and has had a profound and lasting impact on the economic and social development of New China since its establishment.The labor education of this period is a key starting point and an important source of the Party’s labor education history,and the labor education thought of Mao Zedong formed on this basis has very important implications for solving the current practical problems of labor education and exploring the future direction of labor education with Chinese characteristics.On the basis of sorting out,summarizing and grasping the relevant historical data and academic achievements,on the premise of clarifying the core concepts of "labor","labor education" and "Mao Zedong’s thought on labor education",this paper insists on the unity of theory and practice,static and dynamic,and launches a more systematic study on the formation conditions,main contents,specific practices,historical roles and contemporary revelations of Mao Zedong’s thought on labor education during the Yan’an period.The first part is a study of the conditions for the formation of Mao Zedong’s thought on labor education during the Yan’an period.Analyzed on theoretical,historical and practical levels,respectively,among them,the labor education ideas of Classic Marxist Writers,excellent Chinese traditional culture,and modern education scholars in China and abroad are the theoretical basis for its formation;Mao’s personal early labor experience and the early practice of labor education of the Chinese Communist Party are the historical basis for its formation;the political,economic and educational background of the Yan’an period is the realistic choice for its formation.The second part is a study of the main contents of Mao Zedong’s thought on labor education during the Yan’an period.Based on the dynamic grasp of the practice of labor education at different stages of the Yan’an period,the study discusses the content system of Mao Zedong’s labor education thought during the Yan’an period from four dimensions: the vision of the goal,the basic principles,the specific contents,and the specific methods of labor education,centering on the main lines of education: "what to train","how to train" and "for whom to train".Specifically,labor education in this period was carried out through media propaganda,literary propaganda and labor competitions,adhering to such basic principles as the leadership of the Chinese Communist Party,"consistency between learning and application," the people’s standpoint,and the combination of the Rectification Movement and the Production Movement,to educate the masses of the people in labor skills,labor concepts,labor politics and science and culture with a view to winning the ultimate victory in the revolutionary war and promoting the free and comprehensive development of human beings.The third part is a study of the practice and historical role of Mao Zedong’s thought on labor education during the Yan’an period.On the basis of the overall grasp of the content of Mao’s labor education thought during the Yan’an period,and taking into account the Marxist view of labor and the concrete reality of the Chinese revolution,the practical activities of the Party’s labor education during the Yan’an period are analyzed from two aspects: systematic labor education in schools and diversified labor education in society.At the same time,the historical role of Mao’s labor education thought in the Yan’an period is analyzed from the political,economic,educational,and ideological aspects,namely,consolidating the Party’s leadership,consolidating economic production,cultivating revolutionary talents,and correcting social thought.The fourth part is a study of the contemporary enlightenment of Mao Zedong’s thought on labor education during the Yan’an period.On the basis of affirming the historical effectiveness of labor education in the Yan’an period and summarizing its historical experience,and taking into account the current situation and dilemma of labor education implementation in the new era,the contemporary inspiration of Mao’s labor education thought in the Yan’an period is discussed from four aspects: adhering to the Party’s leadership,adhering to the people’s standpoint,adhering to the joint participation of multiple subjects,and adhering to the service of economic and social development.Among them,the leadership of the Party is the fundamental guarantee of labor education,the people’s position is the fundamental position of labor education,the participation of multiple subjects such as school,family and society is the fundamental way of labor education,and serving economic and social development is the fundamental direction of labor education. |
