Study On The Practical Path Of Xi Jinping’s Important Discourse On Patriotic Education

The Chinese national spirit and spiritual gene are deeply rooted in the fine tradition of patriotism,the core of the Chinese nation.After thousands of years of historical polishing and precipitation,patriotism has coalesced the spiritual power of excellent culture.Following the advancement of the age and social changes,along with the evolving state of the nation and the world,and the far-reaching and comprehensive changes in the foreign and national situations,Patriotism is now playing an ever more important role in the national renaissance.Since the 18 th Party Congress,Chinese General Secretary Xi Jinping has been giving high priority to patriotic education,making many public speeches in different venues and putting forward a series of far-reaching statements.These discourses are rich in connotation,meticulous in logic and distinctive in character,integrating the best of all schools of thought,embodying the fine tradition of patriotism in the excellent traditional culture of the Chinese nation,The classical Marxist writers’ ideas of patriotism and the Communist Party of China’s ideology of patriotism have kept pace with the times to enrich and develop the implications of Xi Jinping’s patriotic education,which is an important part of Xi Jinping’s socialist ideology of patriotism with Chinese characteristics in the new era.Xi Jinping’s important statement on patriotic education focuses on the theme of achieving the great renaissance of the Chinese nation;on the essence of love for the country,the Party and socialism;and on the fact that knowledge of the country,love for the country and serving the country are all linked together as specific requirements,has greatly enriched and improved the content of patriotic education and is the goal guide and direction for the Chinese sons and daughters in the new era.Xi Jinping’s important thesis on patriotic education has achieved good results in contemporary Chinese practice,but there are areas that need further improvement and refinement.This is ultimately due to the impact of globalisation,the influence of various negative trends,changes in the living environment of the times and the imperfection of the education system in terms of educational content,methods,educators and the educational environment,making Xi Jinping’s important thesis on patriotic education still needs to be strengthened in implementation.This study further proposes five optimization paths for different levels of cause analysis,namely,continuing to strengthen the top-level system design of patriotism;continuously enriching patriotism education content culture;exploring patriotism education methods and approaches;optimizing patriotism education atmosphere and environment,and expanding patriotism education carrier channels.At the time of comprehensively building a strong socialist modern state,Xi Jinping’s important discourse on patriotic education provides unique wisdom and contributes Chinese power and Chinese solutions to world peace and development.
