Research On Enhancing The Cohesive Force And Leading Force Of Socialist Ideology In The New Era

Ideological work is the work of establishing the heart and soul of the nation.This work is something that the CPC has never taken lightly,and socialist ideology has played a role in leading ideas and uniting people’s hearts in any historical period,providing a strong ideological guarantee and spiritual leadership for socialist construction and development.In his report to the 20 th Party Congress,Xi Jinping stressed the need to "build a socialist ideology with strong cohesive and leading power." This means that the problem of cohesion and leadership has been given a higher status in the construction of China’s ideology,highlighting the extra importance and urgency of this work.After explaining the concepts related to the cohesion and leadership of socialist ideology in the new era,this paper further explores that socialist ideology is composed of four elements: the guiding power of value concepts,the integrating power of social functions,the explanatory power of content system and the affinity power of expression.Tracing the relevant theories of classic Marxist writers provides a theoretical basis for the construction of ideology in China;reviewing the important discourses of Chinese Communist Party leaders in different periods provides valuable experience for the construction of ideology in China;comparing the construction of ideology in the United States and the Soviet Union provides lessons for China.Enhancing the cohesion and leadership of socialist ideology in the new era is an ideological guarantee for consolidating the Communist Party’s ruling position,a practical need for maintaining national ideological security,an urgent requirement for solving people’s ideological confusion,and a spiritual guide for achieving the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.Entering a new era,enhancing the cohesive and leading power of socialist ideology has ushered in new historical opportunities,while also facing enormous challenges: from the external system,China is in the midst of a great change unprecedented in a century,with Western countries intensifying their ideological infiltration,diverse social trends impacting on the guiding position of Marxism,social informationization impacting on mainstream ideology and social stratification forming From the perspective of the internal system,there are still shortcomings in the construction of the socialist ideology itself,which also poses challenges to enhancing the cohesion and leadership of the socialist ideology in the new era: the value guidance needs to be enhanced,the integration function needs to be strengthened,the content system needs to be deepened and the expression methods need to be improved.In the face of the many challenges of enhancing the cohesion and leadership of socialist ideology in the new era,we must constantly strengthen and improve the Communist Party’s leadership of ideological work in the midst of a century of unprecedented changes,build the discourse authority of socialist ideology,create a clear and clean space for the dissemination of socialist ideology online,unify interests and enhance the social identity of socialist ideology,and strengthen the construction of socialist ideology itself.
