Research On Coupling And Coordination Of Basic Public Services And Economic Development In Jiangsu Province

This research is based on the theoretical analysis of concepts related to basic public services and economic development,and takes Jiangsu Province and 13prefecture-level cities as the research objects.It focuses on public education,medical and health,culture and sports,infrastructure,social security,informatization,and environment.Protection and other service indicators establish a comprehensive evaluation index system for the basic public service level,and construct a comprehensive evaluation index system for the economic development level based on the relevant indicators of economic development scale,economic development structure and economic development benefits,using entropy analysis,Methods such as cluster analysis and spatial visualization expression are used to quantitatively analyze and evaluate the temporal and spatial evolution characteristics of basic public services and economic development in Jiangsu Province from 2006 to 2018 from multiple spatial scales such as provinces and prefecture-level cities;secondly,Jiangsu Province Basic public services and economic development are regarded as two subsystems respectively.According to the comprehensive score obtained by measuring the level of basic public services and economic development,the coupling coordination model is used to calculate the degree of coupling and coordination between the two,and then methods such as spatial visualization expression are used.Quantitative analysis and evaluation of the process and pattern evolution of the coupling and coordination of basic public services and economic development in Jiangsu Province from 2006 to 2018 from multiple spatial scales such as provinces and prefecture-level cities;finally based on the basic public services and economic development of Jiangsu Province Systematic analysis of the level measurement,coupling and coordination degree,etc.,and put forward countermeasures and suggestions for adapting to the needs of guaranteeing and improving people’s livelihood in the new era,coordinating the regional economic development of Jiangsu Province,and adapting to the high-quality stage of economic development.The main conclusions are as follows:(1)During the period 2006-2018,based on the provincial scale,the basic public services and economic development of Jiangsu Province have shown a trend of increasing year by year with the progress of time.However,the growth rate of basic public services is slower than economic development,and the trend of economic development driving the development of basic public services is becoming more and more significant.(2)During the period 2006-2018,based on the city scale,the top five cities in Jiangsu Province’s basic public services and economic development were Nanjing,Suzhou,Wuxi,Changzhou and Nantong.Suqian was always at the end.The unbalanced regional development and spatial agglomeration characteristics of Southern Jiangsu,Central Jiangsu,and Northern Jiangsu are very significant.The overall development level shows successively descending characteristics of Southern Jiangsu,Central Jiangsu,and Northern Jiangsu,and the gap in economic development level is larger than the gap in basic public services.(3)During the period 2006-2018,based on the provincial scale,the coupling degree of basic public services and economic development in Jiangsu Province has always been in a mature stage of high coupling.The degree of coupling coordination has gone through the stage of dysfunction.The transitional stage is about to be out of balance,barely coordinated,and then to the primary coordination,intermediate coordination,good coordination,and high-quality coordination in the coordination stage.The elements of the two systems gradually run into a coordinated state,and the coupling and coordination level of the two systems will get higher and higher.(4)During the period 2006-2018,based on the city scale,except for Taizhou,the coupling degree showed a continuous upward development trend,and the coupling degree of the other prefecture-level cities in Jiangsu Province fluctuated upward,showing a good development trend and continued stability in general.The coupling coordination degree of various prefecture-level cities in Jiangsu Province fluctuates,and the growth rate is inconsistent,the basic public service is weak and the economic development is backward in the urban coupling coordination degree growth rate and the upward space are better than basic public services and economic development.The faster cities in southern Jiangsu are faster and bigger,and the increase in coupling coordination is mainly manifested in the steady and fast growth in the early stage,and the slower fluctuations in the later stage.The level of coupling and coordination of basic public services and economic development in Jiangsu Province shows successively descending characteristics of Southern Jiangsu,Central Jiangsu,and Northern Jiangsu.With the radiating and leading role of cities in Southern Jiangsu and Central Jiangsu,the degree of coupling coordination among prefecture-level cities in the province has been promoted.Higher and higher,the level of coupled and coordinated development is getting better and better.
