Cultivating students’ practical ability,innovative spirit and social responsibility is the new requirement put forward by the party and the state for the cultivation of talents in colleges and universities in the new era.The second classroom of ideological and political education in colleges and universities plays an irreplaceable role in talent training.The second classroom has got rid of the shackles of traditional education forms and contents.The rich carrier and platform have gradually developed into an important practical teaching channel to guide college students the all-round develop of college students.It is a supplement to the traditional classroom teaching,which is of great significance to the ideological and political education.This novel education form is different from the teaching objectives and education methods of first classroom.Its teaching breadth and content flexibility complement the shortcomings of the first classroom,and more and more attention is paid by the ideological and political education workers in colleges and universities.Therefore,finding the correct development direction of the second classroom construction of ideological and political education is the responsibility of colleges and universities to cultivate socialist builders and successors in the new era.Qingdao is an important city along the Belt and Road.While promoting rapid economic development,it has put forward a new concept of higher education at a higher level and faster development.Three-year Action Plan for the Integration of Higher Education in Qingdao(2023-2025),an important policy document issued by the Education Work Committee of Qingdao comprehensively plans the new development concept of the integration of higher education and localities.Under this new development concept,the focus of this research is to summarize a set of second classroom construction plan,and create the second classroom education of ideological and political education with Qingdao characteristics.In this research,the relevant definitions and the current development of practical teaching in universities are summarized to provide strong practical support for subsequent research.Through literature review,the feasibility and practical significance of the second classroom of ideological and political education in colleges and universities in Qingdao are analyzed.On the basis of the previous theory,a questionnaire survey and case interviews are randomly carried out in six universities with distinct characteristics in Qingdao.Through this in-depth investigation,it is found that there are some problems in the second classroom practice teaching of ideological and political education in colleges and universities,such as insufficient classroom investment,low quality of activities,weak enthusiasm of students and low utilization rate of resources.Finally,in view of the practical problems,this research puts forward the path to improve the second classroom construction of ideological and political education in colleges and universities.
