Research On Honest Culture Education For College Students

The report to the 20 th National Congress of the Communist Party of China points out that “we should strengthen the construction of honest culture in the new era and educate the people of the whole country to conduct themselves with clean and disinterested proprieties.”,which indicates the direction for strengthening the education of honest culture among college students.Contemporary college students is the most dynamic and creative youth.They are the future of the nation and the precious resources of the country.Therefore,whether they have the consciousness of integrity and the will to resist corruption is not only related to the realization of the goal of talent training of the universities and the all-round development of the students themselves,but also closely related to the overall situation of the construction of a clean and honest government.Hence,to strengthen the education of honest culture among college students is not only the longitudinal deepening of overall and strict administration of the party,but also the embodiment of the construction of party conduct and incorruptible government in the field of education.All the above measures could help to carry forward China’s excellent traditional virtues and guide college students to set up the correct values,form the correct value orientation,make the correct value judgment and value choice.Based on resources related to honest culture such as the important discourse of Marxist classical writers,the excellent China’s traditional culture and the important statements advanced by all the leaders of the CPC,this paper uses data studies,historical approach,comparative research and questionnaire method to propose feasible suggestions for the development of honest culture education for college students by means of following the authoritative documents issued by the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and the Ministry of Education since 2005,depending on General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important speeches on the construction of honest culture in public,consulting research results such as relevant books,papers,and reports published by various public media and focusing on the investigation of the current situation of conducting honest culture education for college students in various universities in Chengdu.This research focuses on the practical research on the basis of theoretical research,follows the principle of combining theory with practice,and strives to put forward the pertinence and feasibility of countermeasures.This paper contains six chapters.Chapter one is the introduction,which mainly elaborates the research background and the significance of the topic selected,collates the domestic and foreign research status,clarifies the research ideas and methods,innovation points and shortcomings;Chapter two defines the concept related to honest culture education for college students and it also expounds its theoretical basis;Chapter three discusses the necessity of honest culture education for college students;Chapter four expounds the content and characteristics of honest culture education;Chapter five excavates the current situation of the honest culture education for college students in Chengdu through the analysis of the investigation results and then analyzes current achievements,main problems and the causes of these problems under the circumstances,which provides the practical basis and data support for the follow-up countermeasures;Chapter six puts forward countermeasures and suggestions to improve the effectiveness of honest culture education for college students according to the actual situation.
