This article uses literature data, mathematical statistics and video observation methods to study the skills and tactics of Chinese outstanding left-handed table tennis players Lin Gaoyuan and Wang Chuqin in major international competitions from 2019 to 2020 and different clapping athletes.Lin Gaoyuan is selected.16 games each with Wang Chuqin, and 8 games with different clapping hands each.Through statistics of the techniques, tactics, routes and landing points they used in the game,we can analyze their different holdings. The similarities and differences in clapping players,so that our excellent left-handed horizontal planners can choose appropriate techniques and tactics when playing against different clapping players. The results of the study are as follows:(1)From the perspective of the overall three stages,Lin Gaoyuan has more advantages over the left-handed players in the serve break, because Lin Gaoyuan’s serve can create more attacking opportunities for him when the right-handed players fight against each other.in the receiving and snatching section,Lin Gaoyuan is better at catching the serve of the left-handed player, but the overall catch stage scoring rate is low, which belongs to Lin Gaoyuan’s weak stage.in the stalemate stage,Lin Gaoyuan has a greater advantage against the left-handed player, able to mobilize his opponent to run in a large range, and use superior techniques to suppress the weakness of the left-handed player.Wang Chuqin has higher scoring stability against left-handed players in the serve break, but the use of serve and grab tactics is less than that of right-handed players.in the receiving and snatching section,Wang Chuqin’s ability to score against the right-handed player is higher than that of the left-handed player. In the stalemate stage,Wang Chuqin has an advantage against the right-handed player.(2)In the serve break,Lin Gaoyuan’s serve position was off the center line when confronting the left-handed player. When confronting a right-handed player, there are more backhanded baseline shots than a left-handed player.Lin Gaoyuan’s backhand technique scores better when he is fighting against a left-handed player in the serve break.Lin Gaoyuan used the tactics of grabbing a lot,and used his right hand more than his left hand.Wang Chuqin served more close to the net to the left-handed player’s backhand than the right-handed player, and had a high scoring rate. When Wang Chuqin played against the left-handed player, his sideways pull had a high scoring rate but a low usage rate.Like Lin Gaoyuan,Wang Chuqin’s grabbing tactics used more on right-handed players.(3)In the receiving and snatching section,Lin Gaoyuan has many ways to receive and serve, but his scoring rate is low.In the fourth hit,Lin Gaoyuan played against different clapping players with a high usage rate of backhand technique and a high scoring rate.Wang Chuqin’s backhand scoring rate was higher than that of the left-handed player in the fight against the right-handed player.Wang Chuqin used the second and fourth hit offensive tactics to score more points against the left hand.(4)In the stalemate stage,Lin Gaoyuan’s forehand technique is used more frequently in the right hand match, and the score rate is higher. When Lin Gaoyuan played against the left-handed player,he used the offensive backhand as the main position and assisted the other positions. When he played against the right-handed player,he used the forehand and backhand movement as the main.Wang Chuqin has a high scoring rate against right-handers in the stalemate stage, and his backhand and sideways pull opponents have a high scoring rate in the forehand position.
