This study explores the energy consumption of 5000 meter male long-distance runners at different running speeds,analyzes their different characteristics of energy consumption,provides theoretical basis for scientific training of 5000 meter runners,and provides theoretical basis for the research of energy consumption in long-distance events.This study uses research methods such as experiment,mathematical statistics,and literature data to recruit athletes who sign up for this experiment to test their individual lactate threshold first,and then perform a single-sample T test.Finally,select the lactate threshold level.There are 6 male athletes who have significant differences and whose best performance in 5000 meters can reach the second level.According to the lactic acid threshold strength of the 6 athletes,the three running speeds in this experiment are determined,namely the medium-intensity running speed(12km/h),Lactic acid threshold intensity running speed(14km/h)and high-intensity running speed(16km/h),6 subjects were tested on the 5000-meter treadmill at these three different running speeds.During the running,gas metabolism analyzer,blood lactate analyzer,heart rate belt,video recorder and other equipment are used to divide the 5000-meter run into five 1000-meter stages,and analyze the oxygen uptake and carbon dioxide exhalation of all subjects at different stages The main research conclusions are as follows:aerobic energy supply,phosphate source energy supply and anaerobic glycolysis energy supply system for each stage and collect test data for statistical analysis.The main research conclusions are as follows:1 The oxygen uptake and carbon dioxide exhalation of athletes at the three running speeds all showed a gradual upward trend.There was no significant difference in gas metabolism under medium intensity and lactate threshold intensity,while gas metabolism under high intensity increased significantly.2 Athletes can complete the same target distance with a lower and stable heart rate output at the lactic acid threshold intensity running speed,indicating that lactic acid threshold intensity training has a significant effect on improving the athlete’s cardiovascular system and reserve function,and can strengthen the athlete’s myocardial strength.During long-distance running,a lower heart rate can ensure a larger blood intake and cardiac output.3 The tolerance and adaptability of athletes under the lactic acid threshold intensity to the exercise intensity can enable the body to perform aerobic metabolism for a longer period of time,thereby delaying the emergence of anaerobic energy supply and reducing the process of glycolysis in the body to produce blood lactic acid.4 In terms of running economy,under the same running conditions,the running economy of 5000-meter athletes at medium-intensity running speed,lactate threshold intensity running speed,and high-intensity running speed increased in turn,and the running economy between each running speed has significant differences.It shows that as the running speed increases,the energy consumption of athletes also increases.
