A Case Study Of The Resource Dependence Theory’s Application To The Operation Mechanism Of Rural Social Work Institutions

The cause of Chinese-style socialism has entered a new epoch.The number of social problems and social needs is growing.The advancement of social work is extremely important in terms of promoting social progress and improving people’s livelihoods.In recent years,social work has developed rapidly,forming several more developed areas such as Beijing,Guangzhou,Shanghai,and so on,implying that professional education in social work has yielded preliminary results in my country,and the academic community is also very concerned about the operation and development of social work organizations,but the focus is on social work institutions established and developed in cities,and the study of rural social work is neglected.Based on this,this paper chooses the YM social work institution in Beijing as the research object and discusses the YM social work institution’s operation mechanism.With a focus on topic selection,the author reviewed existing literature and related theories,clarified research ideas,and collected relevant information in the institution’s operation process via interviews,observation methods,and document methods.This paper examines the basic situation of YM social work institutions in Beijing from the standpoints of resources,information resources,and social and political resources,with the goal of discovering the interaction between YM social work institutions and the surrounding environment,as well as the problems and reasons for YM institution operation.In addition,countermeasures to promote the benign are proposed.Also,propose countermeasures to promote the organization’s smooth operation.According to the findings of the research on the YM social work organization,social policies have created a favorable environment for the organization’s operations.The government provides necessary resources to ensure the organization’s operation.It is the operational mechanism of social work organizations.Currently,YM social work organizations face the following development challenges: first,a lack of resources;second,a lack of interaction between resource providers;third,a strong reliance on specific personnel in the organization during operation;fourth,the professional performance of social work is insufficient;and fifth,the autonomy of social work is weak.The main reasons are as follows:The main reasons are the limitations of the organization’s environment,the administrative color brought by the government’s purchase of services,and the organization’s own lack of management capabilities and ability to link resources.Combined with the theory of resource dependence,the author believes that a social work organization,as a social organization,can only achieve healthy operation by combining internal and external resources.First and foremost,it is necessary to improve relevant policies and regulations,define the scope of government procurement of services,specify the rights and responsibilities of all parties,ensure that the government’s implementation of this work has a legal basis,and reduce the government’s absolute dominance.Specialization and professionalization will strengthen institutions’ voices in policy formulation.Second,we should promote the role of the government and social organizations,transform government functions,and give full play to the government’s overall role;the government and social organizations should respect social work institutions;build an interactive platform,strengthen connections between organizations,and improve resource utilization.Finally,it is necessary to improve the institution’s construction,cultivate the institution’s independent consciousness,improve the institution’s ability to link resources,improve the institution’s internal management,improve the institution’s professional ability and employee treatment,establish a good image externally,and increase the institution’s influence.
