The new curriculum standard of biology in senior high school emphasizes "core quality for the purpose " and "content focuses on big concept." Among them,the core literacy for the purpose of emphasizing the development of core literacy,and the concept of life in the four disciplines of literacy plays a fundamental role in the pillar.Content-Focused Big Concept Teaching is based on facts representation,concept understanding,highlight the key points,knowledge reduction into a system and other ways to teach knowledge,can promote the effective implementation of core literacy.Therefore,it has important guiding significance and practical value for biology teaching to take appropriate teaching strategies and cultivate students’ life concept in the teaching of big concepts.This study is mainly literature research,questionnaire,teacher interviews,case analysis and experimental research as research methods to carry out theoretical and practical research.The research object is the senior students of XX Middle School in Zhejiang Province.Through questionnaire survey and interview,we know the cognition and use status of the big concept and life concept of middle school students and front-line teachers.Based on the analysis of the current situation,the suggestions of teachers and the results of literature search,this paper studies the process of instructional design on concept map based on big concept,and permeates the research into teaching practice.In the teaching practice,two classes with no obvious difference in number and grade are selected as experimental class and control class.After the end of practice,the test results of the post-test are compared with the pre-test results to determine whether the teaching strategy has a promoting effect on the formation of the high school students’ life concept.Based on the research of teaching practice for three months,the author draws three conclusions: 1.Teaching based on big concepts needs to select the suitable teaching strategies;2.The concept map teaching,which focuses on big concepts accords with students’ cognition and is beneficial to the development of teaching activities.3.The teacher based on the concept of the implementation of the concept map teaching on the formation of students’ life concept has a positive role in promoting.Based on the results of this study,the author hopes to provide some reference value for the general front-line teachers in the big concept teaching to develop students’ life concept literacy.
