| Teachers are the main body of education and teaching activities,and they are the key factors to implement the fundamental task of moral education.To improve the quality of education,we must cultivate high-quality teachers.Senior high school ideological and political teachers are important part of the teaching team.Whether this group is competent for their work is not only related to the overall development and healthy growth of high school students,but also to the future of the party and the country in the long run.The status quo of the competence of ideological and political teachers in senior high schools presented through the survey can specifically indicate the problems existing in the current high school ideological and political teachers’ knowledge,teaching ability,professional character and personality traits,and then targetedly propose to improve the competence of high school ideological and political teachers.It can provide a certain basis for selecting and cultivating high-quality ideological and political teachers in senior high schools.Firstly,this paper uses the literature analysis method to sort out the relevant research,and then defines the relevant concepts of the competence of senior high school ideological and political teachers,and specifically defines the concepts of competence,teacher competence,ideological and political teacher competence and senior high school ideological and political teacher competence.Through the definition of the above concepts,to further clarify the research object.On this basis,we mainly choose competency theory,career development theory and teacher professional development stage theory to lay a solid theoretical foundation for the research on ideological and political teachers’ competency in senior high schools.By analyzing the theory and combining with relevant literature,a competency model of senior high school ideological and political teachers is constructed that conforms to the characteristics of the school stage and subject.The questionnaire survey method is used to investigate the competence of senior high school ideological and political teachers.Through the survey,it can be found that senior high school ideological and political teachers perform well in many aspects,but there are also some problems.The good performance is mainly reflected in: ideological and political subjects They have solid learning,strong teaching design and teaching implementation ability,excellent teachers’ professional attitude,high political literacy,and can adhere to the principle of fairness and justice.The existing problems are: weak teaching exploration ability,low recognition of the treatment received,teachers’ ideals and beliefs are not firm enough,and lack of certain communication and cooperation skills.After analyzing the status quo,the reasons for the existing problems are further explored through the interview method,which can be mainly analyzed from four perspectives.The factors at the teacher level are: too much emphasis on practical ability and neglect of theoretical development,and there is a certain degree of job burnout.The factors at the school level are: the evaluation standards for teachers are not comprehensive enough,the incentive mechanism is lacking and not scientific enough,and the support for teachers’ teaching exploration is not enough;the factors of the education department are: the training mode of normal students majoring in ideological and political education in colleges and universities is not perfect,and the training mechanism Insufficient improvement,insufficient promotion of teachers’ treatment;social factors include: the impact of informatization,and the stereotype of teachers’ identity.Combined with the analysis of the causes of the problem,this study proposes corresponding strategies to improve the competence of senior high school ideological and political teachers from the three levels of teachers,schools,and education departments.Professional concept,focus on loving students,and improving teachers’ moral cultivation;for schools,it is necessary to attach importance to the role of teachers,provide conditional support,formulate scientific standards,pay attention to comprehensive inspection,strengthen teacher management,promote teaching reform,build learning platforms,and organize school-based training,Improve the evaluation mechanism and stimulate creativity;for the education sector,it is necessary to base on the level of competence,reform professional development,integrate high-quality resources,improve the training system,highlight humanistic care,and improve teachers’ treatment;for society,it is necessary to strengthen information management,promote originality,reduce stereotypes and create a good atmosphere. |
