Lefebvre’s social space theory believes that activity space spans three areas:material,spiritual,and society,that is,the creation of a kindergarten space should include three aspects: physical space,psychological space,and social space.With the deepening of pre-school education reform,the need for the transformation of activity space becomes more urgent.Therefore,it is necessary to change the traditional one-sided understanding that space construction is equal to the creation of physical space.Education is a human-oriented activity,and benign communication and interaction can only be achieved.Make the activity space have life and meaning.The development of preschool education in rural areas has received the attention of the whole society in recent years.As one of the important educational resources,the activity space is the main place for teacher education and teaching activities.It is a necessary condition for children to carry out activities and can promote children’s learning and development.This research adopts research methods such as investigation,interview,and observation.Based on the existing literature,three different types of rural kindergartens are selected as the research objects,from the basic conditions of kindergartens,environmental support,spatial layout,and human-space Conducted research on the four dimensions of interaction,summarized the current situation of rural kindergarten activity space construction,and analyzed the reasons according to the interview content and related documents,and finally proposed corresponding space optimization strategies based on the rural reality.This article is divided into 7 parts.Firstly,it discusses the research background and research significance of the selected topic,then defines the related concepts,and summarizes the collected domestic and foreign related research content.The second part is to sort out the relevant theoretical foundations of the kindergarten activity space,which are Piaget’s theory of cognitive development stages,Lefebvre’s theory of space production,and Bromfin Brenner’s theory of ecosystems.The third part is a brief introduction to the research from three parts: research object,research method and research content.The fourth part discusses the current situation of the interactive space in rural kindergartens from four dimensions.Through the research on the current situation,it is found that there are some problems in the creation of activity space in rural kindergartens: in terms of basic conditions,the physical space is invisible waste;the single update of materials is slow;the activity time is unreasonable.In terms of environmental support,the division of districts and corners is simple and mechanical;there are similarities in the theme of environmental innovation;the forms of activities are not rich enough;the utilization of local resources is not high.In terms of space layout,the layout is chaotic and less planned;there is nothing new in space utilization.In the interaction between people and space,there is a lack of attention to spatial value;children’s emotional and psychological needs are easily ignored;teachers have more high-control behaviors;and the relationship between teachers and children is relatively indifferent.The fifth part analyzes the factors affecting the construction of activity space from various aspects: the coexistence of opportunities and challenges in the preschool education environment;the limitations of the township garden itself;the weak awareness of teachers’ space;the slow update of parental education concepts,etc.In the sixth part,in order to construct a suitable interactive space,the author proposes corresponding optimization strategies from the above four aspects: at the government level,increase financial support and allocate resources reasonably;at the same time,strengthen the management of rural kindergartens.At the kindergarten level,leaders should encourage teachers to tap the value of space;rationally develop natural resources;maximize the use of space;and increase parental participation.At the teacher level,respect children’s right to participate in space construction;improve the ability to use construction space;create a warm interactive space.At the parent level,actively cooperate with kindergartens;improve educational concepts,etc.The seventh part is the summary and prospect of this research.
