Stepping into the digital age,the rapid development of information technology promotes the renewal of knowledge and the progress of technology,and also affects people’s way of thinking and life.Computational thinking has become the essential ability and key quality of learners in the new era.It is the main thinking mode of students using information technology to solve problems.The Curriculum Standard of Information Technology for Senior High Schools(2017 edition,2020 revision)lists computational thinking as one of the four core qualities of information technology discipline.How to cultivate students’ computational thinking ability in the teaching process of information technology has become the focus of educators’ attention.This study attempts to explore how to develop students’ computational thinking through problem-solving teaching.Firstly,this paper reviews the current research status of computational thinking and problem-solving teaching at home and abroad through literature research,analyzes the relationship between computational thinking and problem-solving teaching,and proposes that problem-solving teaching can effectively cultivate students’ computational thinking on this basis.Then,based on the theory of situational learning,constructivism and "learning by doing",and combined with the structure and core concepts of computational thinking,the cultivation of computational thinking is included in the process of problem solving.Based on this,a problem solving teaching model for the training of computational thinking is constructed,and its implementation procedure is described in detail.Finally,according to the model,appropriate teaching content is selected for teaching design,specific teaching practice is carried out,and continuous summary and reflection in practice.Through the analysis of the before and after measurement scale of computational thinking,students’ works and interview results,the development and change of computational thinking of students after the problem-solving teaching oriented to the training of computational thinking were observed,and the validity of the model was verified.The results showed that the ability of students in the five dimensions of computational thinking assessment was improved,and the effect was obvious.The problem-solving teaching of information technology in high school for the cultivation of computational thinking can stimulate students ’interest in learning,help students solve problems in life and learning,and play a positive role in the development of students’ computational thinking.This study also provides some references for educators to study computational thinking and classroom teaching.
