Since the implementation of the “double reduction” policy,the schoolwork burden of primary and secondary school students has been reduced to a certain extent.But as the leader of student learning-teachers,has their work burden been reduced at the same time?This deserves our further exploration.Paying attention to the work burden of primary and secondary school teachers is not only the necessary support for the substantive development of the “double reduction” work,but also an important topic to ensure the healthy and sustainable development of basic education in China.Among them,as a group of junior high school teachers working in cities and towns,they not only face heavy teaching tasks due to the promotion of urbanization,but also bear a relatively heavier workload and psychological pressure than rural,urban teachers and other schoolteachers because they carry the dream of “noble sons” of the people at the bottom of society,which has attracted the attention of this study.Based on this,this study uses literature research method,questionnaire survey method and interview method to conduct a relatively comprehensive investigation and analysis of the overall work burden of several representative urban junior high school teachers in X cities in the central province.After investigation,it is found that there is indeed an excessive work burden of urban junior high school teachers,and the problem is reflected in :First,teachers have a high workload,many contents and detailed responsibilities;Second,teachers’ work burden is not coordinated with personal life,because work greatly squeezes personal life time and space,thus affecting teachers’ physical and mental health;Third,teachers’ continuity is in the task and assessment anxiety,and the workload of teachers is not directly proportional to the work salary.The analysis believes that the reason for the excessive work burden of urban junior high school teachers is that the detailed rules for the implementation of the policy of reducing the burden on teachers are not clear;the education department has more inspections and evaluation work;there are more school affairs and organization of learning and training projects.All levels of society have high expectations for teachers,the public’s concept of pursuing the promotion rate is deeply rooted,and it is difficult for teachers to meet the “difficult” social expectations.The level of school management is more pandering than exploring the autonomy of running the school.The school management method lacks democratization,and the teacher assessment and evaluation system are one-sided.For teachers,teachers’ multi-role expectations conflict;individual teachers’ psychological endurance is not high;teachers’ self-expectations do not match professional quality,etc.are also the reasons for their excessive work burden.Based on this,in order to ensure the quality of education and teaching,reduce the work burden of urban junior high school teachers,and provide a clear environment for education ecology,it is necessary to take the following measures: First,work with the “double reduction” to create a relaxed working environment for teachers;Second,optimize the working methods of teachers and create a “people-oriented” school management system;Third,implement precise policies according to the situation of urban junior high schools.
