The utilization of Chinese and Foreign History Outline,a jointly produced high school history textbook,was implemented across the nation in September 2022 and serves as a vital and indispensable asset in the production of history teaching materials.The new teaching material in the form of general history and Zhuan Ti Shi,consists of two parts,the body system and auxiliary system.Not only the knowledge capacity of the body has been expanded and the language expression has been refined,but also the content and structure of the auxiliary column have become more diversified.Among them,the column "Historical Vertical and Horizontal" has a unique position and role in teaching materials.The column is designed to supplement the text text from the perspective of time and space,so that students can have a more complete understanding and objective explanation of history on the basis of understanding the vertical and horizontal relationship of historical knowledge.Therefore,the use of this column in teaching can not only effectively supplement the text and let students understand knowledge,but also attract more attention and promote the cultivation of students’ ability,which has a certain research value.First of all,by summarizing,sorting and analyzing the quantity distribution,location distribution and content category of the column "Historical Vertical and Horizontal" in the unified edition,the characteristics and functions of the column are clarified.Secondly,on this basis,it puts forward the application methods and principles and combines the case to elaborate.Among them,there are six main ways to use,respectively,the use of column structure connection,to cultivate the concept of time and space;Combine columns cleverly collocation,training historical evidence;Based on column supplement and expansion,cultivation of historical interpretation;The use of columns to highlight the model,the cultivation of national feelings;Use columns to create questions,improve the ability to explore,use columns to stimulate interest,and form self-study awareness.Using principles as the basis of teaching needs,the column is scientifically selected;According to the column content,flexible application in each link;Improve teachers’ literacy,deepen the understanding of column content three points.As an illustration,Lesson 17 of "Outline of Chinese and Foreign History(Part II)" elucidates the application columns through specific teaching techniques and evaluates the application effects of columns.
