| Self protection ability is the most basic ability for children to protect their personal safety during their growth process.It not only affects the healthy growth of children,but also relates to the harmonious development of society.Due to the frequent occurrence of accidental injury accidents,children in China lack self-protection education.To reduce the possibility of accidental injury and safety accidents among children in rural guardianship difficulties,it is necessary to improve the self-protection ability and self-protection skills of children in rural guardianship difficulties.Social work,as an applied discipline,has unique professional advantages in improving the self-protection ability of children in rural family custody difficulties and reducing the risk of harm to children,and has important application value.According to a household survey conducted by social workers on rural guardianship disadvantaged children in W Street,it can be seen that this group has certain deficiencies in self-protection ability.After further analysis of its influencing factors,it was found that rural guardianship disadvantaged children lack self-protection education for children.In addition,the form of school education is relatively single,the social environment is complex,and risk factors are diverse.Rural guardianship disadvantaged children have not received systematic self-protection education.Therefore,based on a specific analysis of the self-protection needs of children in rural guardianship difficulties,a group work service plan has been developed to ensure the healthy growth of children in rural guardianship difficulties.The group designs and implements services under the guidance of social learning theory,emphasize self-protection learning related knowledge and skills through peers interaction between group members.There are seven engaging group activities that involve self-protection knowledge and skills in areas such as sex education,family,transportation,campus,and the internet.In the process of group activities,group games,scenario simulations,videos,and actual production are used to motivate group members to improve the self-protection ability of children in rural guardianship difficulties and strengthen learning effectiveness.Through a pre-and post test survey on the improvement of self-protection ability of children in rural guardianship difficulties,it was confirmed that group work intervention has a significant effect on increasing the self-protection ability of children with guardianship difficulties in rural areas.The peer support network among team members has been successfully established,and the mastery of self-protection knowledge and skills has significantly improved compared to before the intervention,achieving group goals.Through the implementation of this group service,it has been confirmed that using group work to help improve the self-protection ability of rural guardians in difficult situations has a good effect.And it is concluded that improving children’s self-protection ability is a gradual process from cognition to behavior.Creating a supportive group environment can enhance the practical effect of social learning theory,and observing learning has a positive effect on children’s self-protection ability.Multiple forces can work together to help improve the self-protection ability of rural guardians in difficult situations.In addition,to maximize service efficiency,it is difficult to achieve it solely through group work.Therefore,the social worker suggests that the author needs to strengthen the following aspects: to effectively handle the issue of group member differentiation,and build a "family school community" trinity child self-protection safety net. |
