The physical fitness test competition requires that the physical fitness test process composed of the results of the competition should be efficient,high-precision and traceable.In view of the fact that traditional test methods cannot meet the requirements,this study designed and developed a video measurement system for vertical jumping height.The system uses the camera to capture and record the entire longitudinal jump process of the athlete,and uses the camera calibration and image recognition algorithm to calculate the height of the vertical jump in real time according to the image captured by the athlete during the vertical jump,and can extract any frame of the athlete’s vertical jump for the reference of the tester(referee)according to the needs.In addition,through the on-site display function included in the system,the athletes’ vertical jump results can be displayed on the live screen,so that athletes,coaches and spectators can clearly and completely understand the whole process of athletes’ vertical jump,which is also conducive to possible re-judgment and arbitration under the premise of ensuring the fairness,impartiality and accuracy of the competition.This paper uses interdisciplinary research methods such as literature method,expert interview method,mathematical statistics method,software writing method and experimental method,and selects the computer calibration method suitable for this system by understanding the basic situation of the current physical fitness test and the actual use requirements brought by the competition of physical fitness test on the vertical jump and height test equipment,and on the basis of studying computer calibration and image recognition technology,so as to solve the influence of imaging model distortion on the accuracy of computer calibration.Through interviews and field research with experts in the field of physical fitness testing,the necessity of the development function of the system and the feasibility of the work plan were confirmed,and the hardware needs such as cameras,PCs,and touch boards were determined.By designing the control experiment between the system and the total station,the difference between the measured data in the experiment is analyzed,and the measurement accuracy of the system is verified to meet the application requirements of physical fitness test and the influence relationship between the high and low position of the camera on the test accuracy.Finally,the design and development of the vertical jump high video measurement system was completed.The results show that the system can be widely used in physical fitness test related competitions,which confirms its scientificity,feasibility,reliability and accuracy.The application of this system in the physical fitness test improves the efficiency of the game,and at the same time can provide a strong basis for the referee’s decision,provide video playback for the arbitrators,and ensure the standardization and fairness of the game.The results of the competition can also be displayed to athletes,coaches and spectators in real time through the live screen,which improves the viewing and monitoring of the competition.
