Active Expression:Narrative Research On Disabled People Short Video Programs

Some scholars have pointed out that the essence of disability is the result of society’s inability to adjust its structure to meet the needs and aspirations of disabled people.The construction of a correct view of disability has become an important measure of the degree of civilization in modern society.The phenomenon of disability is not only a pathological problem,but also rooted in society and environment.Therefore,the construction subject of the cause of the disabled is no longer limited to doctors and experts,but extends to every individual in society.For a long time,as a marginalized group of the society,the disabled have been in a state of aphasia,and narrative research can not only reflect the image characteristics of the disabled in the current society,but also summarize strategies for the promotion of the voice of the disabled,which is of great significance to the disabled people.This paper focuses on the self-presentation of the disabled in the new media era,Choose Kwai short video with inclusive values as the core as the sampling platform,Using the random sampling method,265 disabled accounts and 530 disabled short videos were collected,Taking this as a sample to analyze the current situation of disabled people and the characteristics of disabled short videos on Kwai platform,Finding out the active subject narrative and professional media use of the disabled,Short videos for the disabled present a positive video tone,simple packaging of real scene display and positive emotional feedback from users;On the other hand,with the help of narrative theory,the representative narrative works of the disabled on the Kwai platform are analyzed,Focusing on the disabled person,"what to say" and "how to say" from the narrative theme,narrative characters,narrator,narrative perspective and narrative symbols,Discover that the disability story in a short video lies between real and grandiose,The shaping of the disabled is free from the "eternal flat figures",Narrators switch between the able-bodied and the disabled,Music and body symbols became the main narrative language.Finally,the research focuses on the subjective value of the disabled,and analyzes the return of voice and disability identity from the subject level to improve the happiness and group influence of the disabled individuals.At the whole social level,the active self-report of the disabled has a positive effect in promoting the group visibility and the construction of correct disability concept.
