Research On The Training System Optimization Of Chinese Basketball Coaches

In basketball,coaches play multiple roles as organizers of training,conductors of matches,and spiritual mentors of players.In recent years,the training of coaches at all levels in China has been in the ascendant,with junior coach training classes being the largest in scale.However,the new coach training system of the Chinese Basketball Association is still in its early stages of establishment,and needs to be improved in terms of organizational management,grading,student quality,lecturer team,training content and methods,assessment and evaluation.This research uses the methods of literature review,questionnaire survey,expert interview,and mathematical statistics to sort out the training system of basketball coaches in China.Combining the opinions and views of experts and trainees,it analyzes the problems existing in the existing training system of basketball coaches,and through literature review,it refers to the training systems of coaches in the two major basketball powers,the United States and Canada,and draws on their relevant mature experience,Propose optimization strategies for the training system of basketball coaches in China.The research shows:(1)From the current situation of China’s basketball coach training system,basketball coach training institutions across the country are independent of each other,mainly using offline training methods.The registration fees are priced separately,and the grading is based on different levels.The teaching materials are also different.E-level students are mainly male,with a focus on their own scientific background.Training instructors generally include university teachers,professional team coaches,and basketball referees,The assessment is conducted in a combination of theory and practice.Furthermore,it is analyzed that the main problems in China’s basketball coach training system are as follows: 1.In terms of organizational management,there are problems with incomplete admission rules and unreasonable training fee settings in the junior coach training classes organized by basketball associations at all levels;2.In terms of level division,the level promotion channels of the Chinese Basketball Association are inconsistent,and there is no mutual recognition of levels with local basketball associations;3.In terms of training students,some E-level students have short practice periods and poor English proficiency;4.In terms of training instructors,the team of basketball coaches at all levels in China is unstable and lacks a platform for communication and exchange;5.In terms of training content and methods,the training outline and textbooks of the Chinese Basketball Association are incomplete,the matching degree between the E-level training content and the training outline is low,and the training methods are single;6.In terms of assessment and evaluation,the certification of basketball coaches at all levels in China is too simplistic,with no internship period and lax assessment and supervision.(2)By analyzing the basketball coach training systems of the two major basketball powers,the United States and Canada,its advantages are summarized as follows: 1.In terms of organizational management,both the United States and Canada have established national coach associations or committees to supervise training;2.In terms of grade division,Canada divides coaches into three types according to the teaching needs of different groups,and each type has its own grade and is promoted layer by layer;3.In terms of training students,thanks to Canada’s NCCP ’s detailed division of coaches,students have achieved differentiated training;4.At the training instructors’ meeting,the United States established a basketball coach clinic to provide an exchange for the instructors to share the latest research results Platform;5.In terms of training content and methods,the United States and Canada have rich online training courses that emphasize basic knowledge of sports science;6.In terms of assessment,Canada pays more attention to the ability to apply knowledge in teaching practice after training.(3)After drawing on the experience of foreign basketball coach training systems,the following optimization strategies are proposed: 1.In terms of organizational management,a national coach committee is established to regulate training costs and formulate admission rules,with the Chinese Basketball Association as a reference;2.In terms of grading,the Chinese Basketball Association should assign the E-level to local basketball associations and stipulate that applicants should start from the lower level;3.In terms of training students,the Chinese Basketball Association should further formulate admission rules for basketball coach training students;4.Establish a talent pool for training instructors and organize them to participate in the recording of online training courses;5.In terms of training content,the Chinese Basketball Association should improve the training outline and unify training materials,and establish an online learning platform;6.In terms of assessment and evaluation,enrich the assessment methods,focus on practice,and set up internship periods.
