In the past two years, the bodybuilding and fitness team of Wuhan Sports College has competed fiercely in four competitions: the China University Student Bodybuilding and Fitness Championship, the National Fitness Model Championship, the National Fitness Championship and the National Bodybuilding Championship, and 11 players have been approved as national-level bodybuilders and 30 players have been approved as national-level athletes. The high physical stress and high incidence of sports injuries among the team members in the high-intensity training have affected the sustained progress of the team members.Research Objectives: The Functional Movement Screen(FMS)is a practical tool to assess the risk of sports injuries by testing movement patterns, muscle control and neurological stability performance. It is a simple, easy to use,and clear result that examines flexibility, stability and symmetry in athletes. This paper examines the functional movement screen in bodybuilders and develops a targeted intervention programme based on the results of the screen test scores to see if the intervention programme can improve the performance of bodybuilders on the FMS test.Research methods:The study used literature methods, expert interview methods, experimental methods and mathematical and statistical methods. The intervention training programme was designed according to the results of the first test and the experimental group trained four times a week for eight weeks, with each intervention training session lasting 30 minutes, including 15 minutes before and 15 minutes after practice. After the intervention experiment, the FMS test was repeated for the experimental and control groups.Paired-sample t-test was used to analyse the FMS test scores of the experimental and control groups before and after the intervention experiment.Research results:(1)The FMS test scores of the 30 bodybuilders ranged from 11-17,with a score of13.53±1.59.A total of 14,or 46.6% of the total number of bodybuilders, scored less than 14 on the FMS.The lowest score on the shoulder flexibility test was 1.83±0.69,followed by the overhead squat and hurdle step, both at 1.86±0.57.Four other participants had pain in their shoulder joints and low back during the test.(2)The movement arrangement of the intervention programme should follow the sequence of flexibility training-stability training-movement pattern reconstruction training, and be based on the principles of functional appeal, elimination of maximum abnormality, balance, progression and combined with the general and specific problems in the screening results of bodybuilders.(3)By training the experimental group for 8 weeks, significant differences were found in the overhead squat, linear lunge, shoulder flexibility test, active straight knee raise, trunk stability push-up and total score on the post-test compared to the pre-test of the experimental group(p<0.05).The control group did not produce significant differences in any of the seven test scores and total scores(p>0.05).Research conclusion:(1)The results of the first test showed that bodybuilders lacked stability and flexibility in the hip, ankle and shoulder joints, and were at greater risk of injury in the low back.(2)The results of the 8-week post-test showed that the intervention programme helped to improve the movement patterns of bodybuilders and prevent injuries during high-intensity strength training.(3)Functional movement screening can provide bodybuilders with a scientifically rigorous and convenient means of detecting injury risk, and can enable bodybuilders to screen for shortcomings in their body movement patterns,so that they can develop targeted intervention training programmes to address these gaps and improve the efficiency of their exercise training. |
