Whether it is compulsory education mathematics curriculum standards or new curriculum reform, teachers are required to change teaching methods, change the course of too much emphasis on mechanical learning, rote cramming education, and pay attention to cultivate students’ interest in learning,so that different students develop to varying degrees.Based on the above, this study offers a new teaching mode,i.e.,Students Expounding Problems Mode, which is based on teachers’ teaching of new courses and students expound mathematical problems. The purpose of this thesis is to investigate the impact of Students Expounding Problems Mode on junior high school mathematics learning achievement,as well as whether Students Expounding Problems Mode can promote the development of non-intellectual factors such as students’ interest in mathematics learning, emotional attitude, and so on.At the same time, this thesis also conducts a statistical analysis on the willingness of students with different levels of mathematics learning, different genders and different characters to expound the types of questions,so that teachers can reasonably allocate the types of questions based on the needs of students, and students can happily expound the questions.A quasi-experimental research approach is used in this study. In the two parallel classes, one of the classes is used as the experimental class, and the Students Expounding Problems Mode is adopted. The other is used as the control class, and still uses the traditional Teachers Expounding Problems Mode.During the experiment, the influence of other irrelevant variables is controlled. The control and experimental classes are tested for mathematical knowledge before and after the experiment, and the students’ scores are analyzed. The following are the findings:(ⅰ)The Students Expounding Problems Mode has no discernible influence on the improvement of junior high school students’ mathematics learning achievement;Students are classified into three groups based on their level of mathematical learning: high-score group,middle-score group, and low-score group. The mathematics learning achievement of students in various groups has improved to some extent.(ⅱ)The effect of Students Expounding Problems Mode on mathematics learning achievement is basically the same for students of different genders.(ⅲ)The effect of Students Expounding Problems Mode on mathematics learning achievement varies significantly between students with different characters.Extroverted students outperform introverted ones in mathematics learning achievement. This article also employs the questionnaire survey approach. Before and after the experiment,a questionnaire survey was administered to the experimental class using the Students Expounding Problems Mode and the survey data were quantified and analyzed. The following are the findings:(ⅰ)The adoption of the Students Expounding Problems Mode in the junior high school mathematics classes may promote the development of non-intellectual variables such as students’ interests in mathematics learning and emotional attitudes, and this promotion is significant in statistics.(ⅱ)According to the statistics of students’ willingness to expound the types of questions, girls like to expound difficult questions more than boys;Students in the high-score group prefer to expound fill in the blank questions and difficult questions in regular questions.Students in the middle-score group prefer to expound the choice questions, fill in the blank questions, and the answer questions in regular questions.Students in the low-score group prefer to expound the answer questions in regular questions;Extroverted students have less needs for the sorts of questions to be expounded.Students with a moderate personality like to expound fill in the blank questions in regular questions.Introverted students prefer to expound choice questions and the answer questions in regular questions.Based on the aforementioned conclusions,it is clear that the Students Expounding Problems Mode has varying degrees of progress in terms of how well student at various learning levels acquire mathematics. While meeting the demands of the new curriculum reform and curriculum standards,it also pays attention to the development of non-intellectual factors like students’ interest in mathematics learning and emotional attitudes.Furthermore, based on the results of the Students Expounding Problems Mode experiment and the problems existed during the experimental process, this thesis proposes targeted teaching suggestions that can be used as a reference for the majority of front-line teachers.
