| Orienteering is a typical project of cognitive decision-making,in the process of map recognition,athletes need to quickly identify map information and make accurate decisions,so the level of visual search ability greatly affects the athlete’s competitive performance.Fluent experience is a positive psychological state,when the fluency experience occurs,the individual will feel efficient cognitive participation and pleasant emotional experience,trait fluency is the general tendency of the individual to experience the fluent state,in the field of sports,individuals with high trait fluency are more likely to feel the fluent experience in the sports situation,so as to obtain excellent competitive results.Therefore,this study focuses on the map recognition process of orienteering,and divides the types of map recognition into general map recognition and accurate map recognition.Starting from the visual search features in map recognition,the influence of characteristic fluency on the visual search characteristics of directional map recognition is explored.This study mainly uses the literature method to classify and sort out the relevant literature materials of fluency,directional image recognition and visual search,consult relevant books and materials,summarize relevant research at home and abroad,clarify the development context of fluent experience related research,and lay a theoretical foundation for further research.According to the expert interview method,ask experts about the feasibility of this study,the rationality of experimental design and process,and further improve the research content according to expert opinions and suggestions;Using the questionnaire survey method,the trait fluency level of the experimental participants was grouped into high and low levels through the Trait Fluency Scale-2.Through the experimental method,the SMI RED eye tracker was used to record and collect the behavioral indicators and eye movement indicators in the process of recognizing the two groups of participants.Through mathematical statistics and logical analysis,the experimental data are further analyzed and interpreted.Research results:(1)The results of experiment 1 show that the interaction effect between trait fluency and task difficulty is significant in the overview map.In the complex map,the route planning accuracy of the high-quality fluency group was significantly higher than that of the low-trait fluency group,and the route planning time,video injection rate and incubation period of the eye-jerk were significantly lower than that of the low-trait fluency group.In both kinds of information maps,the route planning time of the high-quality fluency group was significantly lower than that of the low-quality fluency group.In the high-quality map,the number of fixations in the high-quality fluency group was significantly lower than that of the low-trait fluency group.The main effect of trait fluency was significant,and the eye jump distance of the high-trait fluency group was significantly lower than that of the low-trait fluency group.(2)The results of experiment 2 showed that in the accurate map recognition,the interaction effect between trait fluency and task difficulty was significant,the route planning accuracy of the high-trait fluency group was significantly higher than that of the low-trait fluency group,and the route planning time,video injection rate and eye-jerk latency were significantly lower than that of the low-trait fluency group.The main effect of trait fluency was significant,and the number of fixations in the high trait fluency group was significantly lower than that in the low trait fluency group.There was no significant difference in saccade distance between the highand low-trait fluency groups.Research conclusions:(1)Trait fluency can have an impact on the visual search behavior characteristics of directional image recognition.Compared with the low-quality smooth orienteering players,the high-quality smooth orienteering players have better visual search performance,and have higher route planning accuracy and shorter route planning time when reading maps.(2)Fluency can also have an impact on directional map visual search eye movement features.Compared with the low-quality smooth orienteering contestants,the high-quality smooth orienteering contestants have fewer fixation times,lower video injection rate,shorter eye-hopping distance and eye-jerk latency when recognizing images,and have more efficient visual search efficiency and can quickly put into task situations.(3)High characteristics and smooth orientation players have more efficient visual search capabilities.Mainly reflected in the accuracy of route planning,route planning time,number of fixations,video rate and incubation period of eye jump,with the increase of map difficulty and amount of information,cognitive load increases,compared with lower characteristics of smooth orienteering,high characteristics of smooth orienteering players tend to show better visual search characteristics when reading maps. |
