With the continuous development of social economy and the acceleration of globalization,tourism has become an industry that cannot be ignored worldwide.In the context of the rapid development and change of this industry,it is particularly important to cultivate tourism professionals with professional knowledge and practical abilities.As a compulsory course for the introduction to the tourism industry,the course "Introduction to Tourism" plays a crucial role in cultivating students’ tourism knowledge,skills,and literacy.However,currently,most of the "Introduction to Tourism" classes in secondary vocational schools are taught in traditional teaching methods,mainly by teachers,while students take notes while listening,often neglecting students’ initiative and creativity.Scaffolding teaching emphasizes the dominant position of students in learning,attaches importance to the creation of learning situations,and enables students to actively think about issues through exploration,cooperation,and communication through the guidance of scaffolding,actively completing knowledge construction.Based on this,this study applies scaffolding teaching to the classroom teaching of "Introduction to Tourism" in secondary vocational schools,aiming to improve the current teaching situation of "Introduction to Tourism" in secondary vocational schools,and provide new ideas and references for the classroom teaching of this course.Based on domestic and foreign research,this study first clarified the connotation and theoretical basis of scaffolding teaching,and constructed a theoretical support system for this study.Secondly,through questionnaires,interviews,and other ways to understand the current teaching situation and existing problems in the "Introduction to Tourism" course in secondary vocational schools,to clarify the feasibility of using scaffolding teaching in the "Introduction to Tourism" course in secondary vocational schools.On this basis,combined with the course content,select the types of scaffolding suitable for the "Introduction to Tourism" in secondary vocational schools,and elaborate on the specific application strategies of various scaffolding.Based on previous research on scaffolding teaching links,explore a scaffolding teaching model suitable for the "Introduction to Tourism" curriculum in secondary vocational schools.Finally,in order to verify the implementation effect of scaffolding teaching in the teaching of "Introduction to Tourism" in secondary vocational schools,teaching experiments were conducted in internship schools,using scaffolding teaching and traditional teaching methods in experimental and control classes,respectively.After the experiment,conclusions are drawn through performance tests,questionnaires,and interviews with teachers and students,and corresponding implementation suggestions are proposed based on the experience gained from the teaching experiment.Based on the above theoretical analysis and practical research,this study concludes that implementing scaffolding teaching in the "Introduction to Tourism" course in secondary vocational schools can activate the classroom teaching atmosphere,improve students’ learning enthusiasm and autonomy,and have a significant promoting effect on cultivating students’ collaborative learning ability and improving classroom learning effectiveness.At the same time,scaffolding teaching provides useful reference for the reform and development of secondary vocational education,and provides new ideas and approaches for the research of educational theory and practice.
