The new era has new requirements for what kind of talents to cultivate,and with the development of science and technology,the research field of visual teaching is also more extensive.The Mathematics Curriculum Standards for Compulsory Education(2022 Edition)points out that in the process of mathematics teaching,attention should be paid to cultivating students’ core competencies in mathematics,and teachers should continuously optimize classroom teaching while absorbing the advantages of traditional teaching methods.Therefore,this study conducts a research on the visualization teaching of mathematics in junior high schools based on core literacy,and uses visual tools to optimize mathematics teaching in junior high schools guided by core literacy,so as to promote the development of students’ core literacy.This paper sorts out the research situation of mathematical visualization teaching at home and abroad,defines the concepts of mathematical visualization teaching,and selects cognitive psychology,constructivist theory,mathematical multiple representation theory,and double coding theory.The current application of visualization in junior high school mathematics teaching was investigated by compiling a questionnaire,which reflected the practical needs and significance of this study.Combined with the characteristics of mathematics knowledge in junior high school,this paper summarizes 11 visual teaching tools and their characteristics,and analyzes which core mathematical literacy they are suitable for cultivation.In order to avoid the drawbacks of blindly abusing visual teaching,this study proposes five visual teaching principles,discusses three mathematics lesson types,and establishes a core literacy-oriented junior high school mathematics visualization teaching model.The three types of visualization tools are discussed and corresponding teaching design cases are given.This paper takes the content of the ninth grade mathematics textbook of the People’s Education Edition as an example to excavate the corresponding visual case collection,and specially selects the design teaching case of the junior high school mathematics "Three Views" of the People’s Education Edition,and conducts practical teaching in the two classes of the third grade of G School in G City,and evaluates the effect through the questionnaire survey method and personal interview method to verify the effectiveness of the teaching model of this study,hoping to provide ideas for front-line teachers.The practical results show that the application effect of junior high school mathematics visualization teaching based on core literacy is good,so the research of junior high school mathematics visualization teaching based on core literacy has practical significance.
