Portrait technique is an important means to describe user characteristics based on user data and provide decision basis for relevant stakeholders.A large number of studies have shown that in the field of education,learner portrait can play an important role in describing learner characteristics and assisting educational decision-making.Based on the process data of students in the teaching platform and guided by relevant theories,this study constructs learner portraits to form a framework of teaching application services.Through the analysis of learner’s process data and learner portraits,teaching strategies and learning strategies are finally formed.In the stage of portrait construction,it analyzes and sorts out the previous studies on learner model and learning analysis model,summarizes the learner’s procedural data set,builds the learner portrait label system,determines the data index,designs the visualization of the portrait,and finally forms the learner model based on the student’s procedural data.In the stage of portrait analysis,the characteristics of learners are preliminarily analyzed from the three aspects: learning effect,learner group identification,learning trend and content analysis.Then visualization technology is used to output three types of learner group portraits of potential type,enterprising type,independent type and a learner’s personal portrait.And the characteristics of learners are analyzed according to the portrait output results.Finally,education and learning intervention strategies are formed.In the stage of portrait application and evaluation,through sorting out the research related to the teaching decision-making supported by learners’ portraits and the output results of this study’s portraits,a teaching application service framework based on learners’ portraits is designed.Interviews were used to collect feedback from students and teachers to verify the effectiveness of learner portrait teaching support decision based on procedural data.Based on the students’ process data in learning activities,this study constructs learner personal portraits and group portraits,visualizes the analysis results,and forms teaching and learning strategies according to the analysis results,so as to help teachers and students master the characteristics of learners,and provide new ideas for datadriven analysis of learner characteristics and teaching intervention.
