In 2012,the Chinese Ministry of Education implemented the "Guidelines for the Learning and Development of Children Aged 3-6",which clearly states that the core experiences of mathematics for young children should be given high priority.The importance of core experiences in mathematics lessons for individuals’ lifelong learning and growth was elaborated.The study was conducted with 62 children in the middle class of a model kindergarten in Shanghai.The study used literature analysis,educational experiments,and interviews to study the design of mathematical gamification activities based on young children’s core experiences in mathematics.The study included the current situation of the application of young children’ s core experiences in mathematics gamification activity design,the shortcomings in the application,and the reasons for the problems,and then targeted the gamification activity design to provide theoretical basis and practical experience to promote the development of young children’s core experiences in mathematics.The following conclusions were drawn from the measurement data:1.the design of gamification activities based on core mathematics experience should be closely integrated with the content of the activities and try to choose materials that children are familiar with,so as to enhance children’s initiative to participate in the activities;2.the gamification activities integrated with core mathematics experience should reflect targeting in the setting of tasks and be carried out in a hierarchical manner,and the tasks should be set reasonably according to children’s different abilities and interests;In the follow-up study,we should continue to invest more in relevant aspects,pay attention to the improvement of teachers’ professional ability in designing game-based activities,and establish corresponding evaluation system,audit system and reward mechanism to maximize the value of mathematical game-based activities for young children.
