As the main channel of ideological and political education,the course of ideological and political theory should stick to the original intention of educating people for the party and the country,and play a leading role in value.In the context of "Internet +",the influx of multiple social trends of thought has an impact on the values of college students,and some college students have cognitive biases in the study of ideological and political theory courses,weakened the status of ideological and political theory courses.Following the law of college students’ cognitive psychology is helpful to adjust students’ cognition,strengthen the right of discourse in ideological and political theory course and improve the teaching effect.Based on the literature review,this paper defines the concept of cognitive psychology in ideological and political theory teaching,and excavate Xi Jinping’s important expositions on the teaching of ideological and political science,the process theory of ideological and political education,the curriculum and teaching theory of ideological and political theory,and the theoretical basis of cognitive psychology,and analyze the basic attributes of cognitive psychology in ideological and political theory teaching in colleges and universities.When the law of cognitive psychology is fully applied to the teaching of ideological and political theory course in colleges and universities,it is necessary to follow its cognitive psychological process,which includes four stages: motivation stimulation,information input,consolidation and transformation,and behavior transfer,learning motivation,teaching information,teaching methods,internalization practice and other four factors have an important impact on the ideological and political theory teaching cognitive psychology.Based on the empirical investigation and analysis,this paper probes into the successes and shortcomings of following the law of cognitive psychology in the teaching of ideological and political theory courses in colleges and universities,and further probes into the countermeasures of optimizing the cognitive psychology in the teaching of ideological and political theory courses from four aspects,this paper probes into the countermeasures of optimizing the cognitive psychology of ideological and political theory teaching from four aspects: stimulating and maintaining learning motivation,improving the effect of classroom information cognition,promoting the formation of correct attitude and belief,and stimulating the practice of correct ideal and belief.Based on the guidance of the law of cognitive psychology,this paper makes a case study of the section of "defining the value requirement--practicing the value criterion" in "ideology,morality and rule of law",in order to improve the teaching quality of the ideological and political theory course and promote the realization of the goal of establishing morality and cultivating people,the teaching design should follow the law of cognitive psychology.
