| Basketball is an early sport in Suzhou’s secondary schools and has gradually become a part of physical education,but there have been some problems in its development,such as the lack of a spiritual culture in school basketball,which has not received much attention.As a culture that is nurtured in a specific environment,with students as the main participants,and in the context of school basketball,the rich content of school basketball has a certain educational value and can be a good catalyst for the improvement of students’ ideological qualities.As a major education city in Jiangsu province,Suzhou currently has 258 secondary schools with 111,174 students,and secondary school is a key period in the physical and mental development of students,which is particularly important in shaping their outlook on life,values and worldview.It is therefore valuable to study how to educate secondary school students about the spiritual culture of basketball on campus.In this study,a questionnaire survey was conducted in each of the six districts of Suzhou City to find out the current situation of students’ and teachers’ perceptions of the spiritual culture of school basketball and the current situation of the development of the spiritual culture of school basketball education in each secondary school.The conclusions of this study are as follows: physical education is no longer a subject that only has a positive impact on the human body,but the humanistic spirit and ideological qualities contained in it are gradually being explored;the importance of physical education in secondary schools needs to be strengthened,and in today’s quality education,individual schools still have the phenomenon of "emphasizing literature over physical education",which not only leads to students’ unsatisfactory performance in the secondary examinations,but also is detrimental to their learning and life at school;the influence of physical education on students’ emotional attitude and quality of will needs to be reflected in the teaching process.This will not only lead to students’ unsatisfactory performance in physical education examinations,but also be detrimental to their learning and life at school;the influence of physical education on students’ emotional attitude and quality of will needs to be reflected more in the teaching process,as physical education is not only a "physical" but also a "human" subject,which is conducive to students’ future development.The standardisation of secondary school basketball teaching should be taken seriously,as there are few relevant documents and policies in place and no uniform standards,resulting in different teaching situations in each school and different levels of students;the training and further education of secondary school physical education teachers is necessary,as the scientific and advanced educational philosophy of teachers is a prerequisite for the quality and effectiveness of physical education work in schools.It is worthwhile to study in depth the spiritual culture,which is the core and driving force of cultural development and is the "soul" of culture;the ultimate goal of teaching the spiritual culture of school basketball is always to fall on secondary school students,and to choose the appropriate teaching methods according to their The ultimate aim of teaching spiritual culture in school basketball is always to focus on secondary school students,and to choose the appropriate teaching content and methods according to the characteristics of their physical and mental development. |
