Early childhood education students are the mainstay of early childhood education in China,and are the hope for the future development of early childhood education in the country.The physical condition of their students has a direct impact on the development of preschool education in China.In teaching,state of teachers’ mental health will have a direct impact on children’s mental health and a profound effect on the lifelong education of individuals.Therefore,this study adopts flower ball cheerleading as an intervention tool to teach flower ball cheerleading to female students in kindergarten for a period of 12 weeks to investigate the effect of flower ball cheerleading on the physical fitness and psychological health of female students in kindergarten,in order to provide suitable sports and teaching reference for improving the physical fitness and psychological health of female students.This paper mainly adopts teaching experiment method,literature method,questionnaire method,mathematical and statistical method,logical analysis method and other research methods to study the influence of flower ball cheerleading gymnastics on the physical quality and psychological health of female college students in early childhood college.Seventy female students in two natural classes of preschool education majors of Fu yang Early Childhood Higher Teacher Training College in 2019 were selected as the experimental subjects.The experimental group carried out the teaching intervention of flower ball cheerleading,and the control group carried out the teaching of regular physical education courses.Through 12 weeks of experimental teaching intervention,the differences in physical quality and mental health indicators of female college students were analyzed and compared before and after the experiment.Research results:(1)The indicators of waist and abdominal strength quality and flexibility quality in the experimental group before and after the experiment all improved significantly with significant differences(P<0.05);the three test indicators of speed quality,endurance quality and lower limb strength quality also changed to different degrees but did not show significant differences(P>0.05).The physical fitness indexes of the control group improved to different degrees before and after the experiment,but there was no significant difference(P>0.05).(2)Before and after the experiment,there was a significant difference in the mental health somatization,obsession,interpersonal sensitivity,anxiety,depression and sleep and diet of the female university students in the experimental group(P<0.05).In contrast,the other four factor scores were in general decreasing,but there was no significant difference(P>0.05).(3)Before and after the experiment,the girls in the control group showed significant differences in the two factors of interpersonal sensitivity and anxiety compared with those before the experiment(P<0.05);in the other eight factors,there were different degrees of relief,but the relief effect was not significant.Research conclusions:(1)The 12-week experiments showed that the female students’ physical fitness indexes were improved to a certain extent by the flower ball cheerleading instruction,and the overall performance of the female students in the flower ball cheerleading instruction group was improved to a greater extent,with significant changes in waist and abdominal strength and flexibility.The female students in the regular physical education group showed varying degrees of improvement in various physical fitness indicators,but no significant differences were found.(2)Both flower ball cheerleading and regular physical education had a positive effect on improving the mental health of female university students,but the results showed that cheerleading had a better effect than regular physical education.In the cheerleading group,the effect was more pronounced on six factors: somatization,obsessions,relationship sensitivity,anxiety,depression,and sleep and eating conditions.(3)The results of the experiment show that not only can flower ball cheerleading have a positive effect on the physical quality of female students,but it can also effectively regulate the negative emotions of the subjects,inhibit their generation and spread,and help female students to have a positive and healthy psychological state.Therefore,flower ball cheerleading is a suitable sport for female students to participate in and can be promoted and developed in kindergarten schools.
