Teaching and Research group has a long history in the school teaching system,and plays an important role in improving teaching quality and promoting teachers’ professional development.At present,the teaching and Research Group has been entrusted with more responsibilities in deepening the reform of education and teaching,implementing the "double new" and "double reduction" policies and improving the quality of school teaching.However,due to the change of the organizational structure of school teaching management and the unclear understanding of the functional orientation of the teaching and research group by the administrators and teachers,there are many problems in the effective play of the functions of the teaching and research group.According to literature review,effectiveness is an important index to evaluate the multiple functions or the realization of objectives of educational organizations.However,existing studies on effectiveness of teaching and research groups have only focused on one aspect of their teaching and research activities.Therefore,according to the organizational characteristics of the teaching and research group,this study defines the connotation of the teaching and research group’s effectiveness on the theoretical basis of the static view and mentality view of organizational effectiveness.The effectiveness of teaching and research group is the comprehensive value judgment of the school to correctly carry out the work of teaching and research group,which is measured by the achievement degree of teaching and research group objectives and the improvement degree of teachers’ professional level.Through theoretical review,the evaluation index of the teaching and research group’s effectiveness was constructed,questionnaires were compiled,middle school teachers were selected as the research objects,statistical software was used to analyze the collected data,and suggestions were provided for the improvement of the teaching and research group’s effectiveness and teaching management evaluation.Firstly,the teaching and research group has some shortcomings in achieving the goals of organizing teachers to learn knowledge related to curriculum reform and teaching reform,carrying out interdisciplinary subject learning and home-school cooperation,that is,the practice of teaching and teaching research function and teaching management function of the teaching and research group has deficiencies.Secondly,teachers in the teaching and research group have little improvement in the expansion and in-depth understanding of the subject knowledge,and their ability to generate research topics according to teaching problems and develop their own professional development plans is weak.The teaching and research group has shortcomings in expanding teachers’ professional knowledge and improving teachers’ research and career planning abilities.Thirdly,"Goal achievement degree of teaching and research group" and "teacher professional level improvement degree" have positive influence on teaching and research group effectiveness level.The three secondary indexes of "goal achievement degree of teaching and research group" have significant positive influence;There are also significant positive influences among the three secondary indexes of "teacher professional level improvement degree".According to the research conclusion,the research puts forward some suggestions to improve the level of the teaching and research group’s effectiveness.
