| With the development of China’s economy and society,more and more rural people choose to move to big cities.The Report on the Development of China’s Floating Population 2018 released by the National Health Commission points out that the number of female floating population is increasing year by year,but among such a large number of floating women,the number actually entering the labor market is obviously too small.Most of the migrant women who have been employed are engaged in part-time jobs with low employment stability and low income.The migrant women group presents the characteristics of low employment rate and low employment quality in employment.In particular,when the characteristics of the floating population become increasingly prominent,the problem of migrant women’s employment is more prominent,which requires the attention of social work and society.Guided by the theory of enhancement,social support and professional social work,this paper studies the employment dilemma of rural-urban floating women in S Street.According to the survey,the employment dilemma of rural-urban migrant women in S Sub-district is mainly concentrated in three aspects,that is,the conflict between job choice and family care,the disconnection between employment skills and occupational requirements,and the dislocation of traditional job-hunting methods and diversified recruitment channels.The reasons for the dilemma are various.Low educational level,weak family support and traditional social values all become obstacles to women’s employment.This study first carried out a preliminary survey in the form of visiting floating families and inviting them to fill in a questionnaire,analyzed the results of the questionnaire,interviewed 15 rural-urban floating women,summarized the main employment difficulties faced by rural-urban floating women in S street,and formulated group activities based on this,and conducted group work to intervene 12rural-urban floating women in S street.These include six group activities and two supplementary activities aimed at helping migrant women to increase their confidence in employment,gain support from their families and peer groups,learn about employment channels,improve their skills and ultimately achieve employment. |
