The advent of the information society has brought many development opportunities to education. With the continuous development of virtual reality technology, the application of VR experiments in education and teaching has gradually attracted people’s attention.Experimental teaching is an important method and means to cultivate students’ innovative thinking ability and practical operation ability. It is a very important part of learning activities. However, there are still many problems to be solved in experimental teaching, such as lack of experimental equipment and laboratory opening hours. Not enough to wait. The emergence of VR experiments enriches the forms of experiments, and provides a new learning environment for learning activities by creating scenes that are closer to reality, which is one of the development trends of educational informatization. At present, there are more and more researches on the design and application of VR experiments, and VR experimental products are more and more abundant, but the existing VR experimental products are still not perfect, and there are still many areas worthy of enrichment and improvement.Feedback is a very important part of learning activities. Many current studies have shown that appropriate feedback can effectively promote learners’ learning. In this context, the research direction is determined to be “VR experiment + feedback”.Further, according to the literature research,it is learned that feedback,as an important factor affecting the learning effect, has not yet attracted attention in the application of VR experiments. And there is no unified conclusion in the current research on the effect of feedback complexity on learning effect.Based on this, this research combines VR experiments with feedback to explore the effects of feedback of different levels of complexity in VR experiments on learning outcomes.Based on the above research questions,First,on the basis of systematically analyzing the existing feedback models at home and abroad, based on constructivist learning theory, feedback intervention theory,Cognitive Load Theory, and immersion theory,we analyze the model characteristics and construction principles, and the mechanism and complexity classification of feedback to build a VR experiment feedback model.Secondly, based on the established VR experiment feedback model, the experiment was designed and developed by exploring the laws of current in series circuits in junior high school physics courses, and two versions of the virtual experiment learning system with simple feedback and complex feedback were obtained.Finally,30 experimental subjects in the second grade of junior high school were selected and randomly divided into two groups: simple feedback and complex feedback. They used two developed VR experimental learning systems with different feedback complexity for learning. We inspected the learning situation, that is,the relevant data of grades, cognitive load and learning motivation through questionnaires were statistically analyzed, then the conclusion of the impact of feedback methods based on different feedback complexity in the VR experiment on the learning effect was obtained. The conclusions of this study are as follows:(1)During the VR experimental learning process, there are significant differences in the learning scores of learners who receive feedback methods based on different feedback complexity, and the learning score of the simple feedback group was significantly higher than that of the complex feedback group.(2)In the process of VR experimental learning, there are significant differences in the cognitive load(external cognitive load, relevant cognitive load)of learners who receive feedback methods based on different feedback complexities. Both external cognitive load and relative cognitive load of the complex feedback group was significantly higher than that of the simple feedback group.(3)During the VR experimental learning process, there are significant differences in the learning motivation of learners who receive feedback methods based on different feedback complexity, and the learning motivation of the simple feedback group was significantly higher than that of the complex feedback group. The conclusions of the study are different from most of the previous studies,so the possible reasons are analyzed from the perspective of theory and reality. On the one hand, this research provides a new perspective for the theoretical research and design and development of VR experiments, and provides new ideas for improving and enriching VR experiments; On the other hand, the related research on feedback is extended to the field of VR experiment, which enriches the related research on feedback effect. |
