Aging will become the basic national conditions of our country for a period of time in the future.On the one hand,the burden of the family’s care for the elderly has increased,on the other hand,the family’s reverse intergenerational support has become more and more concentrated,and the center of intergenerational relations has moved down significantly.The rapid development of extracurricular tutoring in my country,the phenomenon of "involution" in children’s education is very serious,which has increased the psychological and economic burden of young families,and may also have an impact on the family’s reverse intergenerational support.In view of this,this article uses data from the China Family Tracking Survey(CFPS)of 2016 and 2018 to study the impact of children’s extracurricular tutoring hours and costs on the family’s reverse intergenerational support.For the first time,three generations of the family are included in the research framework in order to enrich the existing The research on children’s extracurricular tutoring and reverse intergenerational support brings a new perspective for the study of aging and the welfare of the elderly,provides data testing for the specific measures of the "double reduction" policy,and provides a reference for further improving the current "double reduction" policy.After analyzing the status quo of children’s extracurricular tutoring and reverse economic support and sorting out relevant domestic and foreign literature,this article is based on the following assumptions,based on the theory of social interaction,social exchange theory,and altruistic theory.The impact of intergenerational support,in which extracurricular tutoring includes two dimensions of duration and cost,and reverse intergenerational support includes two dimensions of financial assistance and inter-generational care.This paper uses the panel’s Logit model and the panel’s Tobit model to estimate the different types of dependent variable data.After empirical research,this paper finds:(1)Extracurricular tutoring not only affects the children themselves and young families,but also causes financial pressure and care for parents’ families pressure.The control of extracurricular tutoring by the "double reduction" policy will also have a spillover effect on the elderly in the family.(2)If children in the family participate in learning extracurricular tutoring,not only the reverse intergenerational financial support will increase significantly,but the probability and duration of inter-generational care will also increase significantly.Compared with talent training tutoring,the pressure on the elderly in the family will be greater.(3)Children’s extracurricular tutoring has different effects on the family’s reverse intergenerational support in different regions and groups of people.On the whole,children’s extracurricular tutoring has a greater impact on the reverse intergenerational support of urban families,dual-income families,families in the eastern region,families with one child,and high-income families.Finally,this article formulates relevant policy recommendations to further strengthen the implementation of the “double reduction” policy in different regions;Speed up the introduction of "double reduction" related supplementary policies,strictly control the length and cost of extracurricular training;Pay more attention to the welfare level of the elderly in urban families and the elderly in the eastern region;Specific policies to encourage childbirth,such as parental leave,cannot be the same.It should be more oriented towards different regions or different groups of people.
