Similar triangle plays a connecting role in junior middle school mathematics,it is the extension and development of the knowledge of the same triangle,but also the foundation of further learning trigonometric functions and other knowledge in the future,is the common mathematical model to solve many practical problems in life,it is because of this characteristic,determines the important role of similar triangle in the middle school exam.Therefore,this paper takes similar triangle as an example to study the problem solving mistakes of ninth grade students in learning plane geometry,and explores the types and reasons of mistakes in the problem solving mistakes of students,and puts forward corresponding strategies in teaching and learning.This paper mainly uses literature analysis,questionnaire,examination paper analysis and interview method.First of all,literature analysis is used to analyze the viewpoints of a large number of literatures and papers,and the research questions and contents are clarified based on my teaching experience.Secondly,communicate with teachers to compile questionnaires and test papers,and select three ninth-grade classes with the same teaching progress in a school in Nanyang City as the research objects for sampling investigation and research to understand students’ learning status and knowledge mastery.Finally,the collected information was sorted out,summarized and analyzed,and the students who made mistakes in the process of problem solving were interviewed to obtain the corresponding research results.Through the investigation and analysis,it is found that the main reasons why the ninth grade students make mistakes when solving the similar triangle problem are:(1)ignoring the "correspondence" relationship and failing to correctly understand the concept of similar triangle;(2)Thinking set,ignore the "two triangles are similar in proportion to each other and the Angle between them" judgment theorem;(3)Lack of mathematical model thought,can not construct appropriate auxiliary line;(4)The basic knowledge of relevant subjects is not enough,which affects the solution of mathematical problems;(5)The logic is not rigorous,and there are false arguments and repeated arguments;(6)not careful examination of the question,misread the requirements of the question;(7)Errors caused by students’ calculation errors in the process of solving;(8)Writing is not standard.Finally,based on the types and reasons of students’ problem solving errors,the author puts forward corresponding suggestions from the aspects of teachers’ teaching and students’ learning respectively.
