| The Geography Curriculum Standards for General High School(2017 Edition)proposes that students should have the ability to act in outdoor investigation and social investigation.Only relying on classroom teaching, students lack sufficient geographical practice opportunities, which has certain limitations in cultivating students’ geographical practice. The practical attribute of research travel is highly compatible with the requirement of cultivating students’ practical ability in geography. In 2016,the Ministry of Education issued the Opinions on Promoting the Study Travel of Primary and Secondary School Students to promote the study travel activities.Schools and education departments in our country responded positively and accumulated some experience in the study travel activities. In 2021,the Jiangxi Provincial Department of Education issued the "Jiangxi Primary and Secondary School Research Travel Series Standards",which provided a normative document for research travel in Jiangxi Province.Designing a reasonable and efficient geography research travel plan is of great significance for improving the teaching effect of high school geography under the background of the new curriculum reform, implementing the fundamental task of establishing morality and cultivating people, and cultivating students’ core geographical literacy. This paper takes the geography research travel design of Xinyu High School as the research content.Based on the summary of domestic and foreign research,it uses the humanistic learning theory, constructionist learning theory, and Taylor curriculum principle as the theoretical basis, and uses literature analysis, questionnaire survey, expert interview, and field survey as the research methods to determine the natural geography research travel design ideas in Xinyu City, establish activity evaluation standards, and take Dongdu,Baizhangfeng Forest Park Xiannv Lake is the practice site.It designs research cases with the themes of underground karst landforms, vertical differentiation of mountains, lakes, and regional culture. It also leads students to conduct field research and issues questionnaires to investigate the effects and suggestions of research activities. The research conclusions are as follows: First, most schools in Nanchang have the experience of organizing large-scale research travel activities, but some of the activities have no obvious geographical discipline characteristics, and geography teachers rarely participate in the design of research programs.Second, most of the students have experience in research activities, have learning interests to actively participate in research activities, can actively find and think about geographical problems in the process of activities, but lack the ability to solve geographical problems in real situations. The main factors affecting the activities are learning interests and the geographical route of the goal.Thirdly, according to Taylor’s principle, the six parts of the research travel plan design are determined as follows: research principles, research objectives, research subject content, research process, and evaluation of research activities.Fourth, through field research, students can better complete the preset tasks in the process of research and learning, but the schedule is relatively tight. The content design of research travel activities should be closely combined with geographical practice, and guide students to use appropriate tools and geographical thinking for effective geographical exploration. |
