Scientific thinking plays an important role in the core quality of biology,and is the basic quality that talents in the new era should have.At the same time,the new college entrance examination requires students to be able to use rigorous thinking and standardized language to describe problem solutions,which puts forward higher requirements for students’ scientific thinking,while argumentative teaching can cultivate students’ rigorous scientific attitude and careful thinking,Cooperative learning skills and problem-solving skills are of great value.Demonstrative teaching based on PCRR model enables students to experience a process similar to scientific research and peer review,in which the four teaching links of presentation,criticism,reflection and refinement all promote the improvement of students’ language expression,logical sorting,critical questioning and other abilities,so it is of great significance to the development of students’ scientific thinking ability.This study refers to the research results of argumentative teaching at home and abroad,defines the PCRR model,scientific thinking and other related concepts,and lays a theoretical foundation for subsequent research.Interview the teachers of the internship school to understand the current situation of high school biology teachers’ cultivation of students’ scientific thinking and their understanding of argumentative teaching.Use the scientific thinking questionnaire to carry out the survey and master the current development of students’ scientific thinking.After sorting out and analyzing the survey results,it is concluded that the current problems in the cultivation of scientific thinking of senior high school students are: lack of targeted teaching mode,excessive dependence on scientific methods,and insufficient motivation of students.Accordingly,in order to solve the problems existing in teaching practice and promote the development of high school students’ scientific thinking ability,this study will use the PCRR demonstration model to carry out teaching practice activities,clarify the principles of teaching design,and put forward suggestions on the handling of various links and precautions when using the PCRR model to carry out teaching practice.On this basis,a comparative experiment will be carried out with two classes of students in the practice school as the research object,Explore the influence of argumentative teaching based on PCRR model on students’ scientific thinking ability and learning effect.By analyzing the experimental results,the following conclusions are drawn:(1)PCRR model is helpful to improve students’ scientific thinking ability;(2)PCRR model is helpful to stimulate learning interest,improve classroom performance and improve learning effect;(3)The application scenario of PCRR model still needs to be developed.In order to promote the integration of PCRR demonstration model into senior high school biology class and play its important role in improving students’ core quality,the following three suggestions are put forward:(1)enhance the theoretical learning and practical awareness of argumentative teaching;(2)Enhance the effectiveness of classroom questioning in argumentative teaching;(3)Enrich the teaching materials and application scenarios of PCRR model.
