Since the fall of 2019,the unified version of high school history textbooks has gradually been promoted and used across the country,setting off a new upsurge of experts,scholars and front-line teachers for history textbooks.It has made great adjustments in the writing style,content and structure,especially the textbook auxiliary system column has attracted widespread attention.The "Inquiry and Development" column is a mandatory after-school auxiliary system column in the new edition of the five high school history textbooks,which has great effects on teachers’ teaching and students’ learning: for teachers,it can enrich the text,assist teachers to understand teaching materials,and at the same time provide materials for teachers to design scientific teaching,enrich teachers’ teaching methods and other functions;From the perspective of students,this column is conducive to excavating historical materials,stimulating interest,supplementing the main text,expanding horizons,consolidating knowledge,improving skills,and closely following the functions of curriculum standards and literacy.Therefore,the teaching and application of the "Inquiry and Development" column has high research significance.This paper takes the "Inquiry and Development" column of five volumes,a compulsory textbook and optional compulsory textbook of the unified edition of high school history textbooks.Through research,the column of "Inquiry and Expansion" has a very important position in the unified edition of high school history textbooks and history teaching,and its structure is mostly composed of historical materials and problems,which has the characteristics of student-oriented,historical materials and problem-led,which greatly assists the improvement of teachers’ ability and the cultivation of students’ literacy.However,in my long-term teaching practice,the author realized that the "Inquiry and Development" column is in a "tangible" but "invalid" situation in teaching,that is,the utilization rate of the "Inquiry and Development" column is not high due to the backward concept of teachers,the need to improve teachers’ professional quality,students’ low interest in history,and students’ historical thinking ability to be improved.Based on this,when using the "inquiry and expansion" column for teaching,teachers should improve their professional quality,carry out scientific teaching design,pay attention to the principles of systematic,adaptable and scientific,and adopt feasible strategies such as selectively using columns based on course standards and learning conditions and flexible use of columns based on teaching process design in actual teaching.Finally,this paper discusses the teaching case of "Disputes between Princes and the Movement to Change the Law" in the second lesson of "Outline of Chinese and Foreign History(I)".In the case,the teacher applied the two materials of "Inquiry and Development" to the two links of in-class inquiry and homework assignment after class,and flexibly used the column on the basis of adhering to the adaptation of the column to the course standard,teaching materials and learning situation,which further improved the utilization rate of the column and maximized the value of the column.
