The Ministry of Education launched the revision of the general high school curriculum in 2013,and in 2017 the Ministry of Education promulgated the General High School Thought and Politics Curriculum Standards,which further strengthen the nurturing role of the subject of high school thought and politics,further optimize the structure of the curriculum,and further clarify the functional positioning of the optional thought and politics courses,which are stated in the new curriculum as an extension of the compulsory courses,and complement and supplement each other with the compulsory courses The new standards point out that elective courses,as an extension of the required courses,complement and supplement each other.With the continuous promotion of the new curriculum reform,many schools have opened school-based high school elective courses in ideology and politics,and the opening of high school elective courses in ideology and politics has achieved some results,but there are also many problems.This study is based on the new curriculum reform.This study is based on the background of the new curriculum reform,and the main goal is to study the current situation of the high school ideology and politics elective course,and six high schools in N municipal high schools are selected as the research objects,including provincial key high schools,key construction high schools,general general high schools,high schools with artistic characteristics and other schools,so as to ensure the scientific,rigorous and representative results of the survey.This study integrates the literature research method,questionnaire survey method and interview method,in which 300 student questionnaires and 200 high school ideology and politics teachers’ questionnaires were collected,and SPSS software was used to organize and analyze the survey data to analyze the current situation of high school ideology and politics elective course offering and explore the reasons that restrict the development of high school ideology and politics elective course.During the survey,it was found that the following problems exist in the process of offering elective courses of ideology and politics in six N municipal high schools:the departmental high school elective courses of ideology and politics have no real name,the guidance of elective courses of high school ideology and politics in some schools is not standardized,teachers and students do not understand the status of elective courses in the new curriculum,the evaluation mechanism of elective courses is unreasonable,the management of elective courses in schools is not in place,and teachers have a heavy teaching burden.Based on the above problems,the following suggestions are put forward: school management should strengthen the management of elective courses,do a good job of elective course selection guidance,implement classroom teaching,focus on teacher team building,and improve school hardware facilities;teachers should improve the quality of elective course teaching,actively develop curriculum resources,and build a new type of teacher-student relationship;education authorities should strengthen the supervision of elective course education,enhance the training of teachers,and ensure the implementation of high school The education authorities strengthen the supervision of elective courses,strengthen the training for teachers,and ensure the implementation of elective courses in high schools.
