| As one of the core qualities of junior high school mathematics learning,"arithmetic ability"is very important to junior high school students’mathematics learning.The level of mathematical operation ability can directly affect the development of students’number sense and reasoning ability,so it is of great significance to train students’mathematical operation ability.Research shows that students’personality and learning attitude and other non-intellectual factors will have a great impact on students’mathematics learning,these factors will certainly affect the development of students’mathematical operation ability.Therefore,this study aims to explore the relationship between non-intellectual factors and mathematical operation ability of junior high school students,and from the perspective of non-intellectual factors,put forward some suggestions to better train students’mathematical operation ability.The research object of this paper is students from 5 classes in Grade 8 of a middle school in Wuhan.Questionnaire survey and test paper method are adopted to conduct empirical research,and the current situation and differences of students’mathematics learning non-intellectual factors and mathematical operation ability are studied from gender and class level,and the relationship between the two is explored.The results are as follows:(1)The level of non-intellectual factors in mathematics learning of junior high school students is relatively good.Among the five dimensions,the average score of attitude is the highest and the average of personality is the lowest.In terms of gender,there are differences in the total score of non-intelligent factors in mathematics learning between students of different genders.In general,the average total score of non-intelligent factors in mathematics learning of male is higher than female student.There are significant gender differences in the dimensions of will,motivation and emotion,while there is no significant gender difference in the dimensions of attitude and personality.In terms of class,there is no significant difference in the scores of non-intellectual factors of mathematics learning among students in each class.(2)The level of mathematical calculation ability of junior high school students is relatively good.Among the three dimensions,the average score of know and understand operations dimension is the highest,followed by mastering and applying operational dimension,comprehensive and evaluation operational dimension is the lowest.In terms of gender,the average total score of male is significantly higher than female student.In each dimension,there is only a significant difference between the two dimensions of mastery and application.In terms of classes,there are significant differences in the average of the total scores of students in different classes,and there are also significant differences in the scores of all dimensions between classes.(3)There is a significant positive correlation between non-intellectual factors in mathematics learning and mathematical operation ability of junior middle school students,and the correlation coefficient is 0.737.In each dimension,the correlation between the will dimension and the mathematical operation ability is the largest,and the correlation coefficient between the two is 0.679.The correlation coefficients between the other dimensions and mathematical operation ability from high to low are:attitude,motivation,emotion and personality,and the corresponding correlation coefficients are 0.669,0.625,0.595 and 0.461,respectively.(4)The unitary linear regression equation between non-intellectual factor total(x)and mathematical operation ability(y)in mathematics learning of junior high school students is as follows: y=.0408x-.61The multiple linear regression equation of attitude(x1),will(x2),emotion(x3),motivation(x4),character(x5)and mathematical operation ability(y)is as follows: y=.0538x1+.0662x2+.0162x3+.0424x4+.0364x5-.7801According to the above conclusions,starting from the non-intellectual factors of junior high school students’math learning,this paper explores the suggestions to improve students’math operation ability,so as to improve students’math learning ability. |
