Research On Case Work Of Improving Resilience Of Children In Difficult Situations

Since the Ministry of Civil Affairs launched the "moderate Inclusive Child welfare system" in June 2013,children in difficult situations have gradually become the focus group of children welfare policies and research on children’s problems.It is the common responsibility of family,government and society to create a safe,carefree,caring and healthy environment for children in difficult situations.Safeguarding the well-being of children in difficult situations concerns the healthy growth of children,the well-being and harmony of families,social stability and progress of civilization,and the overall construction and development of the country.It has become an important issue in the field of social work to intervene children in various adversity situations,meet their physical and mental development needs and help them grow up healthily in adversity.This study relies on the project of "Professional Social work Service for Youth Affairs" in L Social Work Service Center of C City,taking Little K as the service object.Based on the current situation of low resilience level of the children in difficult situations,based on the resilience theory of Rutter’s "environment-individual strategy model",this study carries out case-work intervention on the problems and needs which the child is willing to improve,with the hope that with the assistance of social workers,enhance the resilience of the clients and achieve healthy growth.In this study,a total of five case work interventions were conducted to improve their self-cognition and strengthen emotional management,improve parent-child relationship and strengthen companionship,enhance their interpersonal skills to improve their sense of efficacy,explore their personal advantages to enhance confidence,and strengthen their external support to strengthen their sense of belonging.Through the analysis of the evaluation of case work,it can be seen from the results that this case work has achieved a good effect on the improvement of Little K’s resilience level,so as to draw the conclusion that the application of case work method and strengthening the support of external environment can effectively improve the resilience level of children in difficult situations.At the same time,the writer reflects on the problems and deficiencies encountered in the process of case work,and then believes that a single element of external environment support is limited to children,and a single measurement tool may weaken the effectiveness of the results.Based on this case practice,this study puts forward corresponding suggestions from the perspectives of children,families,social support network,policies and social atmosphere,hoping to help children form correct self-cognition,strengthening the supporting role of families for children in difficult situations,and establishing a "trinity" external environmental support network,strengthening the government’s policy assistance to children in difficult situations and creating a good atmosphere for the whole society to care for those children can play a positive role in the future of relevant social work,help more children get out of trouble and achieve healthy growth,thus promoting the healthy development of the family,the society and the country.
