| In recent years,due to the impact of the new crown epidemic,the Chinese language teaching mode for Chinese children has also changed very much,from offline teaching to online teaching.The change of teaching mode has brought great challenges to international Chinese teachers.Due to the change of venue and the limitation of screen,classroom management and teaching activities have become more difficult,and students are prone to problems such as inattentiveness and loss of interest in learning Chinese.In the process of teaching practice,the author found that for Chinese children,teaching Chinese through storytelling can often get their attention and have a better teaching effect.Therefore,I was inspired to pay attention to the theoretical basis and teaching mode and characteristics of story teaching method,and gradually added story teaching method to the online Chinese teaching for Chinese children.After a period of teaching,I found that the story teaching method is feasible,but there are also many problems.Based on this,the author began to investigate the current situation of online Chinese teachers using the story teaching method.First,the author conducted in-depth interviews with nine teachers to investigate the use of story teaching method in online Chinese language teaching and the problems teachers encountered when using it;second,based on the COLT classroom observation scale,the author compared the classrooms that used story teaching method and those that did not use story teaching method to understand more deeply the application of their story teaching method;finally,from the teachers’ interviews and Finally,from the teachers’ interviews and classroom observations,we summarized the problems that are likely to occur when using story teaching method,analyzed the causes of the problems,and made relevant suggestions.After the teachers’ interviews and classroom observations,the author found the following problems: teachers’ lack of conceptual clarity,lack of knowledge reserve,poor teaching coherence,and difficulties in teaching activities due to the constraints of the teaching environment.In response to these problems,the author made specific suggestions: teachers should clarify concepts,increase their knowledge base,prepare lessons thoroughly before class,establish a "trinity" supervision mechanism,arrange teaching contents flexibly to construct a complete story context,and adopt various methods to assist teaching.On the basis of the suggestions,the author adopts the story teaching method to design and practice the teaching of "Frog Writes a Poem" as an example,aiming to verify the feasibility of the story teaching method in teaching Chinese to Chinese children online,in order to provide reference for international Chinese teachers’ Chinese teaching. |
