| At present, the responsibility of guardianship for people with mental disorders in China is mainly borne by their families, and family members or guardians are responsible for supervising medication, observing the condition of people with mental disorders, providing psychological support and protective control in their daily lives.Compared to the families of ordinary people with mental disorders, the families of people with a mental disorder who have committed a crime face more risky pressures and are more likely to encounter difficulties in positive perception and social support.Failure to properly manage the multiple stresses of this group will seriously affect the quality of guardianship for families of persons with psychiatric disorders who have committed crimes and is detrimental to the harmony and stability of society. In this study,we firstly used the literature research method and interview survey method to gain a preliminary understanding of the current situation of stress faced by the family members of people with mental disorders who have been involved in accidents and crashes.A four-stage intervention was conducted under the guidance of the psychosocial treatment model to identify the problems of the clients in three areas: personal, family and social, and a combination of direct and indirect interventions was used to reduce their stress. The assessment results showed that the objectives of the case were largely achieved, with the client’s personal perceptions, family support and social interactions all being improved and stress relieved. Finally, the study concludes with recommendations on stress relief for families of people with mental disorders who have been involved in accidents and crashes from the perspectives of policy, voluntary organizations and social work intervention strategies at the macro, meso and micro levels, and reflects on the shortcomings and limitations of social workers in the process of intervention,in the hope of providing practical reference for social work professionals to intervene in stress relief for families of people with mental disorders who have been involved in accidents and crashes. It is hoped that this can provide a practical reference for the social work profession to intervene in the stress relief of families of patients with mental disorders. |
