| After the new curriculum reform,"geographical core literacy" has become a hot topic in high school geography teaching research."Comprehensive thinking" is an important component of "geographical core literacy" and a basic way of thinking in geography.As the integration of physical geography and human geography,regional geography has comprehensive characteristics,which is consistent with the core of "comprehensive thinking".Classroom teaching is the key link to cultivate students’ comprehensive thinking.Therefore,optimizing regional geography teaching mode has practical significance for promoting students’ comprehensive thinking quality.This article first sorts out the concepts of teaching mode,regional geography,and comprehensive thinking,and determines that the teaching mode has five major components:theoretical basis,teaching objectives,operating procedures,implementation conditions,and teaching evaluation.After that,the statistics of regional geography teaching cases published in Geography Teaching and Middle School Geography Teaching Reference shows that theme based teaching mode,Case method mode,lecture based teaching mode and guided learning plan teaching mode are the most commonly used teaching modes in regional geography teaching at present.Analyze the problems,advantages,disadvantages,and applicability of the above geography teaching models in practice through case studies.On this basis,the focus will be on regional geography classroom teaching,using questionnaire surveys and interviews to investigate the current status of regional geography teaching models,and analyze the existing problems and their causes.Research has found that the regional geography teaching model has a clear orientation towards exam taking,while the influence of traditional teaching models is still profound;Teachers and students overlook the guiding role of teaching objectives;The quality of teacher-student interaction in the classroom is not high;There are obstacles to using new geography teaching models in regional geography teaching;The advantage of regional geography in cultivating comprehensive thinking has not been fully utilized.In response to the problems existing in regional geography teaching,with the goal of cultivating students’ comprehensive thinking,this paper proposes a universal optimization strategy for regional geography teaching mode: firstly,optimize the design of teaching objectives,which should have differences and operability,and highlight the cultivation of comprehensive thinking;Secondly,reasonably develop and utilize online teaching resources,and jointly build a geography teaching resource library among teachers;Thirdly,attach importance to classroom problem design and grasp the role of problem exploration in cultivating comprehensive thinking;Fourthly,optimize teaching evaluation and respect students’ subjectivity.Finally,a teaching case was designed based on the selective compulsory course 2 "Development of ecologically fragile areas-Taking the Loess Plateau region as an example" in the Shandong Education Press to demonstrate the application of strategies.The research can provide theoretical and methodological references for high school geography teachers in conducting regional geography teaching. |
